Vanessa Feltz ‘discovered ex Ben Ofoedu was cheating in Christmas Day message from lover’

Vanessa Feltz's daughter has said that Ben Ofoedu's infidelities were revealed to her mum on Christmas Day via an Instagram message.

Vanessa confirmed the news of her break-up with fiancé of 15 years Ben last weekend and hinted that the musician had been unfaithful as she told fans: "I really do feel that once the trust in a relationship is gone, you can't really get it back".

Now Vanessa's daughter Allegra has commented on the matter and shared how her mum came to hear about the difficult news.

"It was on Christmas Day, of all days. We were all together as a family, but Ben was away in pantomime, when the messages appeared via Instagram," she said.

Allegra, 37, went on to tell The Sun: “Until that moment we were having a really lovely time, the children were having a lovely time, so for us to just receive that via a social media account was the most dreadful shock.

“It was anonymous, and of course it revealed lots that we didn’t know — but it was also very abusive and extremely hurtful."

OK! have contacted Ben and Vanessa's reps for comment.

While Vanessa hasn't fully addressed the reason behind the breakdown of her relationship with Ben, she has candidly shared that she won't let this difficult period get the better of her.

"I just wanted to say that obviously I feel incredibly sad and I am pretty disappointed and shocked and all those horrible things but also full of resolve. I am not going to let this defeat me," she told her Instagram followers in an emotional video.

"I'm so glad to be living longer than my mum did. She died at 57 and, if the Lord spares me, I'm going to be 61 next month. So, I'm very, very grateful to be alive and I want to carry on feeling that way and I want to celebrate.

"I want to find fun and laughter anywhere I can and I know it's not going to be easy, but I'm absolutely determined to do it."

Vanessa's celebrity pals and loved ones have since rallied around her – her daughter Allegra included.

The This Morning star is also mum to 34 year old Saskia, who she shares with ex husband Michael Krurer as well.

Replying to the video shared to her page, This Morning co-star Holly Willoughby wrote: "We simply love you to bits…" followed by a string of heart emojis.

"We love and support you always Mumm," added Allegra, who was recently rushed to hospital with the flu.
