Vanessa Hudgens Quietly Engaged to MLB Star Cole Tucker Since 2022
The ‘Bad Boys for Life’ actress and the professional baseball shortstop have reportedly been engaged for a while now after he proposed to her sometime at the end of 2022.
AceShowbiz –Vanessa Hudgens is possibly quietly planning her wedding now. The actress, who previously dated Austin Butler, has reportedly taken her relationship with Cole Tucker to a whole another level since last year.
According to TMZ, the 34-year-old beauty and the MLB player have been engaged for a while now after he popped the question to her sometime at the end of 2022. It’s unclear where the proposal took place, but the couple was in Paris in November of last year, which could be a romantic occasion for a potential engagement to go down.
Neither Vanessa nor Cole has confirmed the engagement news. They were first romantically linked to each other in November 2020. At that time, they were spotted having dinner together at Pace in Laurel Canyon, California.
The “High School Musical” star originally met the 26-year-old athlete via Zoom while virtually attending Joe Jonas‘ meditation group back in 2020. She made their relationship Instagram official on Valentine’s Day 2021 by sharing a picture of them locking lips. In the accompaniment of the post, she wrote, “It’s you, it’s me, it’s us. @cotuck.”
In May of the same year, Vanessa opened up about how their relationship began after she briefly “gave up” on any hopes of finding a new partner in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. “It’s so weird, believe me – I still cannot get over the fact that it happened, because I remember in quarantine, I was like, ‘Cool, I’m single now and I can’t meet anybody…,’ ” she shared on “The Drew Barrymore Show“.
“I was like, ‘I’ll guess I’ll go on a dating app?’ but I always said I’ll never go on a dating app, and then I found myself on a dating app and I was like, ‘I hate myself…!’ ” the former “Powerless” star continued. “I got off that and so I finally kinda just gave up for a minute.”
Vanessa then revealed that she made the first move on Cole after she was added to a group text for their weekly meditation group. “I’m such a go getter – if I want something or someone, I’m going after ’em!” she laughed. “I fully just slid into his DMs (direct messages) and was like, ‘Hey, it was nice to meet you…!’ “
“I think there’s no shame in making the first move,” she added. “Why wait for someone else to give you what you want…? Go after what you want, let him know.”
