William and Kate Might Be in NYC at the *Exact* Same Time as Meghan and Harry
Welp, looks like the Walses and the Sussexes are traveling to New York City at prettttttty much the exact same time later this year. Prince William and Kate Middleton are heading to Boston for the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit on December 2, while Meghan and Harry will be just a few hours away in NYC for the Ripple of Hope Award Gala on December 6.
However! After Boston, Wills and Kate plan to take a “quick trip to New York, where they can enjoy the festivities in the build-up to Christmas,” especially since Kate is “dying to go ice-skating at the Rockefeller [Center] and shopping for fun souvenirs for George, Charlotte and Louis.”
TBD if they’ll meet up with Harry and Meghan, but it definitely sounds like they’re (coincidentally) going to be in the same place at the same time!
Meanwhile, a source tells Us Weekly that the newly minted Prince and Princess of Wales are “excited” to be making the trip, which will be their first time in America in eight years. The insider notes that the pair are “hoping to boost their royal profile across the pond” and that “they are not taking this trip lightly and have been brainstorming with their team about the most effective ways to make a positive impact in the U.S. They’re taking a hands-on approach with speeches and engagements.”
While Kate and William’s trip will be more “work focused” than their last one (where they were “visiting museums, attending an NBA basketball game, meeting up with Beyoncé and more”) they are “looking forward to squeezing in some personal time.”
Guess we’ll have to see if that “personal time” involves Meghan Markle and Prince Harry!
