Adam Rickitts gin bar: Inside bar the soap star shares with GMB star wife Katy

Hollyoaks and Eastenders star Adam Rickitt, 44 has been photographed putting in some hard graft at the Cheshire bar he owns with his wife, Good Morning Britain correspondent, Katy, 38.

The 45 year old was seen taking care of business on Thursday, as he wheeled crates and lifted bottles of beer.

By the looks of things, business must be booming for the couple, as he was non-stop throughout the day running errands for the micro bar, Dexter and Jones, which specialises in craft beer and artisan gin.

The actor, who was devastatingly conned out of thousands of pounds last year, looked to be in good health, though, as he donned a comfortable yet stylish ensemble, and wore his long blonde hair loose around his face.

He wore a pale blue cardigan, a darker blue T-shirt, a long brown necklace, some fitted cream joggers and a pair of blue trainers to match.

Back in 2020, Adam and his wife Katy, 38, gave OK! an exclusive look inside the gin bar they own, which they were forced to turn into an off licence during the pandemic.

The couple, who exclusively invited OK! magazine into their stunning Cheshire home as they opened up on their marriage, own the bar based in Knutsford.

But during the coronavirus pandemic, the couple also opened as an off licence to serve locals their favourite artisan gins and craft beer.

Speaking exclusively to OK! at the time as they gave us a tour of the quaint shop, Katy explained: “We've been doing home deliveries, which has been wonderful to see that all our regulars are OK.”

Adam added: “I did a delivery recently, and the customer burst into tears. He said I was the first human he's seen in seven weeks!”

The couple added that running the business has been keeping them busy, as filming for Hollyoaks was suspended during the lockdown.

Good Morning Britain presenter Katy explained: "Adam has to keep busy. So the bar has been a godsend after Hollyoaks because other projects got cancelled due to lockdown."

Adam added: “For many of them, we have become an outlet for normality. We had a customer recently order 70 bottles of beer for her dad's 70th. We delivered them and we had to put them on the doorstep and this poor man had to carry them in himself because we couldn't go inside!”

It comes as Adam bravely opened up on the disease which means he can’t have children with Katy. Blissfully happy, Adam describes their loving relationship as a “reward” for his struggles.

The couple can’t have children, as Adam’s condition, Ankylosing Spondylitis, has made him infertile.

Thankfully, becoming parents was never part of their plan and they are mum and dad to adorable pooches Rufus, an Australian cattle dog, and Tallulah and Daphne the bulldogs.

Adam said: “I have an autoimmune disorder called Ankylosing Spondylitis and one of the effects is decreased fertility. This lovely doctor was like, “Mr Rickitt, you’re supposed to have a sperm count of three million, you have two.”

"I said, “Two million?” He said, “No, you have two!”

Katy said: "I didn’t really bat an eyelid. I was like, “Oh, that’s a shame, but we’ve got each other.” I know having kids is very important for a lot of people, so it’s almost a good thing it happened to us."

Adam continued to say: "That’s how I knew that Katy was my soul mate. We’re all brainwashed with the idea you have to have kids, but we were so in love that when we found out that I couldn’t, it wasn’t scary at all. It felt natural that it was meant to be just the two of us and our dogs."
