Aldi launches 19 new Specialbuys that can slash your energy bills – and prices start from £3 | The Sun

ALDI has launched a range of energy saving products and claims some cost as little as 7p an hour to run.

The budget supermarket has unveiled the "Heat Your Home for Less" Specialbuys range.

Prices start from £2.99 and go up to £69.99 with customers able to get everything from heated blankets to stove fans.

Customers can even get their hands on pipe wrap and draught excluders.

Some of the items will be in-store from January 8 and all the products were available to pre-order online from January 3.

But you'll have to be fast as once the stock has gone, it's gone.

Here are some of the products on sale in Aldi's range.

Hot water bottle – £5.99

The range includes a £5.99 hot water bottle, perfect for snuggling down on the sofa or while in bed.

It has a two litre capacity and fake fur cover.

Aldi describes it as a foot hot water bottle, but you could probably use it for any body part.

First4health is selling a two litre hot water bottle for £4.99, so £1 cheaper than Aldi's product.

You'll have to pay £3.49 for shipping though so you should factor that into the overall price.

Workzone infrared thermometer – £16.99

Getting an accurate temperature reading can help you keep a track on your heating bill.

And the Workzone model Aldi is selling can measure temperatures from -50° celsius up to 380° celsius.

So you can use it to find cold spots around your home.

It comes with a LCD display and, crucially, 36 months warranty so you can get it replaced or fixed for free if it breaks or is faulty.

The product is an online exclusive only though, so you won't be able to get it in your local Aldi branch.

We couldn't find the same model online at other retailers but you can get similar-style products from as little as £9.99.

Again, you'll have to factor in the cost of getting it delivered if it's an online purchase.

Easy Home heated airer – £39.99

Tumble dryers are one of the most energy-guzzling appliances you can use in your home.

A cheaper alternative for drying your clothes is a heated airer.

They come with bars that heat up when you plug the airer in.

Aldi's £39.99 version isn't available to order online, but will be in stores from January 8.

It comes with a 36 month warranty and can carry up to three kilos of clothes.

Aldi's website says it costs less than 7p an hour to run as well.

Dunelm is selling a heated airer, which also costs 7p an hour to run, for £40 and Argos has one for £55.

Easy Home stove fan – £17.99

Aldi's stove fan can be put on top of any freestanding wood stove to disperse heat around a room.

And you don't have to plug it in as it runs off the heat produced from the stove.

Plus, it comes with a three year warranty.

If you order one online now you're estimated dispatch date is January 8. You'll have to pay £2.95 for standard delivery though.

You can get a similar version of Aldi's stove fan from OnBuy.com for £8.98, while Fruugo is selling one for £11.95.

Both companies are offering free delivery on the products too.

Easy Home oil filled radiator – £34.99

Aldi's oil filler radiator is already sold out online, but you'll be able to get it in store from January 8.

It comes with a 36 month warranty and is available in two colours – white and black.

Aldi says it costs 27p per hour to run as well, if placed on the 800 watt setting.

The radiator comes with an adjustable thermostat, three heat settings and overheat protection, which turns the unit off when it gets too hot.

You can get some cheaper oil filled radiators online.

Dunelm is selling one for £28, although it's 500 watt power.
