Asda shoppers rush to buy 'perfect' device to tackle mould and condensation | The Sun
ASDA shoppers have been flocking to buy a "bargain" device that tackles mould and condensation.
The supermarket giant is selling a Russell Hobbs dehumidifier for £49.
It is 600ml and can extract up to 300ml of water a day.
Online, Asda said it is "perfect" for smaller rooms as it can be placed on window ledges and countertops.
The motor is quiet and comes with an auto cut-off function which means it'll stop operating once the tank is full.
Shoppers have been impressed with the product.

One reviewer said: "I really recommend it.
"I've had mine a month or so and it works perfect."
While another wrote: "It is certainly helping with the problem capturing about 4 tablespoons of water a day.
"It is fairly quite to run and is small and quite smart to look at.

"The only thing I would say is that it is quite difficult to open to get rid of the water."
And another happy customer said: "I am very pleased with this dehumidifier."
It is currently in stock on the Asda website, though it's always worth checking in your local store too.
Shoppers have also said that you can pick up the dehumidifier from Lidl, though stock and price can may vary from store to store.
Do shop around for the best product as there could be something better out there.
Of course, this particular item is quite pricey, but don't worry as there are cheaper alternatives.

While Home Bargains shoppers were raving about a £1.25 spray.

The issue is usually worse in humid rooms, like your bathroom, which can steam up after a hot shower.
The problem can cause unappealing patches to appear on your walls, and could even affect your health.

Dehumidifiers are a good idea to keep by windows to prevent condensation from collecting – shoppers have even spotted one that costs £50 from Argos.
And they don't cost much to run either – according to experts at Uswitch, dehumidifiers normally use 185W – so they usually cost about 6p an hour to run.
There's also the trick of placing salt in a bowl and hoping it catches mould – our reporter Harriet Cooke said it worked quite well.
