Balding man transformed after shaving off hair and tattooing head instead

A tattoo artist has embraced his new look after shaving off his hair and getting himself a dragon inking on his head.

Jordan, 26, said he has always had long hair but started to notice it was thinning around the crown of his head.

So he made the decision last year to shave off it all off for a makeover at his mentor's studio in Campbelltown, Australia.

"My hair has been thinning and I've decided it's time to shave it off and get tattooed," he said while giving a quick video of how he got his tattoo.

"This hurt so much but it looks so good."

The camera shows the stencil of a Japanese dragon drawn on the top of his head.

Timmo, his tattoo mentor, finished it off with black and grey inking after a five-hour session.

Jordan was happy that he pulled off the head tattoo, adding: "I've always had long hair so I was dreading shaving it off but I think it's much better now.

"I was pretty self-conscious about getting bald but the tattoo made me feel better.

"For me it was near to the pain of the palms which is excruciating but it's different for everyone.

"It was a 20 out of 10 for me."

His viewers were impressed after the transformation, with one saying: "What? You look so good without hair!"

"Bald was 100% the move, you look fabulous!" another wrote and a third commented: "How good is it not having to wear a damn hat all the time!"

"That was an upgrade for sure," a fourth penned.

However, Jordan said that was not the final look as he still has the back and the sides to tattoo.

Given it was just one session of four to five hours, he's been thinking to split the sessions into smaller sittings because of the pain on the scalp.
