A black Labrador has been crowned Britain’s dirtiest dog after his owners shared photos online of the naughty pup covered from head to paw in mud.
Personalised pet gift brand Yappy.com launched a nationwide competition to discover the UK’s filthiest canines – and Bailey Bee, from Horsham, West Sussex, was named the most mucky.
Bailey was caught covered in mud in a hilarious photo posted on Instagram, which led to the mischievous dog winning a luxury bath time hamper worth over £100.
While Bailey Bee was crowned the UK’s dirtiest dog, Buddy the Golden Retriever, Poppy the Border Collie, from Chertsey, Surrey, and Harvey the Golden Retriever from Macclesfield also took home runner up prizes.
Other noteworthy entries included Kenny the cocker spaniel and Bertie the boxer who were equally covered in mud and dirt.
It comes as the brand revealed that 60 per cent of dog owners have had their car or home damaged as a result of mucky pups, with damages costing up to £1,000.

Two times a charm! Buddy the Golden Retriever and Poppy the Border Collie from Chertsey, Surrey, took runner-up prizes after Buddy’s owner shared this photo of them out for a mud bath. Poppy in the foreground is covered in wet mud, with only the top of her head uncovered. Buddy in the background has likewise taken a dip in the mud but only daring to go up to his belly
Double trouble! These two lovely girls, Sky and Hope are back on the lead after they decided to roll in the mud on their woodland walk. The golden retrievers couldn’t resist dipping their toes, then their legs, before sticking their snouts in the puddles for good measure
