Boots has become the latest retailer to take action amid the cost of living crisis, releasing a range of products for £1.50 or less.

The Boots Everyday range features toiletries, skincare and sanitary products designed to help customers who are feeling the pinch.

There are 60 products in total, priced between 50p and £1.50.

Boots has become the latest retailer to take action amid the cost of living crisis, releasing a range of products for £1.50 or less

Customers can shop the range in store or online and it will be rolled out across 100 Boots stores in the next few weeks.

Rising inflation and soaring energy bills has seen millions of families forced to tighten their belts leaving many having to choose between toiletry essentials and food.

Jenna Whittingham-Ward, head of beauty at Boots brands & exclusives, said: ‘At a time when many people are facing choices between heating and eating and we’re all bracing ourselves for a winter of feeling the pinch more than ever, I am delighted that we’re able to offer a no compromise range to help customers make small everyday switches to help save money.

‘Jessie Boot, who founded the company over 170 years ago, believed that quality products should be accessible to everyone, and I am delighted that the new everyday range delivers on those founding principles.’

It comes after the retailer announced in June that it will freeze the price of more than 1,500 products so customers can continue to afford them.

The High Street pharmacist says it will keep prices the same for own-brand items including toothpaste, shampoo, nappies and shower gel until the end of the year.

Steve Ager, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer at Boots UK said the move was designed to reassure customers during the cost-of-living crisis.

We always try to offer great value and the best price for our customers,’ he said.

‘In pulling together the list of products to include in the Price Lock Promise, we reviewed the lines that customers buy most regularly as well as those that are deemed to be day-to-day essentials.

‘We want customers to feel reassured that the prices of a large selection of health and beauty favourites will be staying the same, helping them to continue to buy the quality lines they love at Boots.’

The retailer said its ‘newly expanded’ range would offer ‘trusted quality and expertise at low prices’ for customers.

The recently launched Price Advantage scheme also provides Boots Advantage Card holders with exclusive discounts on over 400 products each month.
