‘Britain’s most tattooed man’ quits ink to save money and pay off mortgage

Britain's most tattooed man is giving up ink for good while.

The 43-year-old forked over £25,000 on his tattoo obsession and he's also a huge fan of body modifications.

But it looks like he's going to put an end to his passion for a while until he clears his mortgage.

Previously he said he couldn't open a bank account due to his new legal name which he's had since 2008.

Now the actor claimed he's giving up his lifestyle choice in a bid to clear his £66,000 mortgage.

He hopes to pay off the amount over the next four years.

The Birmingham man said: "Getting tattoos can be an addiction.

"However this is a lifestyle for me, which I can start and pause whenever I please.

"I'm taking a break from ink while I concentrate on clearing my mortgage. I'll be slowing down over the next few years.

"I might still get some ink every other year, but with interest rates going up, I hope to be mortgage-free in four years.

"I have a budgeting plan, this means I'll have to limit my lifestyle, but I'll be happy to have it out of the way and done."

While he hasn't kept track of his actual costs to date.

Recently he welcomed an English Bulldog, Mary, five, into his life as he's always "dreamed" of having his own dog.

Since he sparked an interest in body modifications, he's had his eyes stained black, nipples removed and ears shaped.

He concluded: "The tattoos are part of my journey, I will go on to evolve more at in the future – just not anytime soon."
