Celebrity couples with matching tattoos as Tasha Ghouri and Andre Le Page debut inkings
Nothing says "I love you" more than a permanent inking. When you're madly in love, it feels a relationship will last forever – just like a tattoo.
However, in some – or actually, in many – cases, love ends up dwindling while the inkings remain.
Many celebrity duos have declared their love for each other with tattoos, including plenty who have broken up – think Russell Brand and Katy Perry, and Charlotte Crosby and Stephen Bear.
As Love Island stars Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri cement their love with matching tatts, we take a look at other couples who have done the same…
Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page
Love Island stars Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri got matching tattoos just weeks after leaving Love Island.
Tasha, 24, and Andrew, 27, met on this year's series of the ITV2 show and despite a few rocky patches, they became an item when Tasha asked Andrew to be her boyfriend, and went on to finish in fourth place.
Tasha previously said she wanted to get a tattoo "to represent how she met Andrew", as she said: "I even want a Love Island tattoo on my finger, to represent how I met Andrew. We’ve said we want the décor to be modern vibes."
The pair now don matching rose tattoos, with Tasha's behind her ear under her cochlear implant and Andrew's intricate inking on his hand.
Katie Price and Carl Woods
Despite having been together for just six months, Katie Price and Carl Woods paid tribute to each other with full portrait tattoos.
Revealing her new ink to fans, Katie said that she is far from finished with her tattoo collection.
"I may as well have a whole sleeve done of the kids, me, and Carl," she explained. "So here I've had Kate and Carl, I've got a bracelet there with all the kids, bangles, and here Pricey Woods."
Despite the loved-up declaration, the pair have been going through a tumultuous time with rumours circulating that the pair have split up.
Charlotte Crosby and Stephen Bear
It seems only right that the two former hosts of Just Tattoo Of Us should have matching tattoos.
In happier times, Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby and her then-boyfriend Stephen Bear revealed matching fish inkings.
The on-off couple also had larger tattoos for each other designed, and he had a hybrid of a bear and a cheetah put on her back.
Olivia and Alex Bowen
As one of Love Island's most successful couples, Alex and Olivia Bowen have matching King and Queen tattoos, symbolising their relationship.
The pair shot to fame on the second series of Love Island, which aired in 2016, and they’ve become one of the ITV2 dating show’s biggest love stories.
They married in 2018 and even bought a stunning £1 million property in Essex which they have since renovated.
The happy couple are now parents to son Axel who they welcomed earlier this year.
Drake and Rihanna
Exes Drake and Rhianna appear to have matching shark tattoos.
The Work singer sports the fresh ink on her ankle whereas the rapper has the sea creature on his forearm.
The couple dated in 2016 and then were spotted back together in 2018.
Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards
Zayn Malik previously had a tattoo of former fiancée, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards on his arm.
However, recent photos appear to show that he's had it covered with a new design.
The couple parted ways in 2014 and Zayn has since found love with model Gigi Hadid with whom he shares a daughter.
Meanwhile, Perrie is now dating footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Cheryl Cole and Ashley Cole
Cheryl had 'Mrs C' tattooed on her neck during her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole.
The couple split in 2008 after The Sun revealed that Ashley had been unfaithful with hairdresser Aimee Walton.
While there have been rumours of laser removal appointments to remove the inking, it seems Cheryl still has the tattoo.
David and Victoria Beckham
David and Victoria Beckham each have tattoos of each other's name.
They have one of showbiz's longest-lasting marriages and last year celebrated 22 years together.
Their eldest son Brooklyn seems to be following in their inked footsteps and already has 26 tattoos of his own. If that wasn't enough, he has many an inking dedicated to his wife Nicola Peltz including her eyes on the back of his neck.
Russell Brand and Katy Perry
Russell Brand and Katy Perry's marriage lasted just 14 months.
But during this time, Katy Perry and Russell Brand had matching tattoos on their inner arms of the Indian phrase 'Anuugacchati Pravaha,' which means 'Go with the flow'.
They headed to the tattoo parlour just weeks before Russell filed for divorce in 2014.
“It was her idea. It’s always her idea,” Brand told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel in early December. “She’s always scribbling permanent things on my body for a laugh.”
Eva Longoria and Tony Parker
The actress decided to get her wedding date (7-7-07) tattooed in Roman numerals on her wrist in honour of her husband, basketball star Tony Parker.
However, seven was not a lucky number in this instance, and the couple filed for divorce in 2010.
The Desperate Housewives star has since had the tattoo removed.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom
Khloe Kardashian and her ex Lamar were inked with each other's initials back in 2009.
Khloe explained at the time: "I think the best tattoo experiences are the spontaneous ones, because that way you are not only left with the tattoo, but an amazing memory to go along with it!"
While they have since split, neither has had their inking covered up.
Beyoncé and Jay Z
The famously crazy in love pair of Beyoncé and Jay Z also have matching tattoos, celebrating Bey's favourite number four
The US superstars have the Roman numeral for 4, IV, on their ring fingers instead of traditional wedding bands.
Chris Brown and Rihanna
Chris Brown and Rihanna had matching cascading star tattoos during their 2009 relationship.
The couple split following a violent altercation as Rihanna was left bruised and bleeding after Chris attacked her.
