The first way in which Chantel uses her mop at home is to clean her kitchen cabinetry, which often fills with dirt and grease from cooking and kids’ hands; she also mops her wall tiles (pictured)

The first way in which Chantel uses her mop at home is to clean her kitchen cabinetry, which often fills with dirt and grease from cooking and kids’ hands.

‘To do this, I mix warm water and a small amount of dish soap to clean tough grease off tall kitchen cabinetry quickly and easily,’ she said.

Then, she just runs it up and down the mixture up and down the walls, which helps to remove it.

‘You can also use your mop when it’s dry to remove cobwebs without needing a ladder,’ Chantel said.

She uses it to reach wall tiles in her bathroom when she wants to clean them.

Chantel (pictured) said staples including dishwashing liquid and white vinegar will work wonders in the bathroom at breaking down dirt and cutting through grime and mould

‘It’s perfect to clean your bathtub without bending,’ she said.

Again, a simple mix of warm water and dish soap is the ideal solution to remove soap scum and grime.

Finally, Chantel said she mixes warm water, dish soap and her favourite essential oil to clean her walls and baseboards, and loves doing this as it ‘leaves the house smelling amazing too’.

‘Make sure you get a mop with washable covers so you can wash and use different heads for different areas of the home,’ she said.

Previously, Chantel has shared her tips for cleaning every area of the home, most recently the bathroom.

Chantel said staples including dishwashing liquid and white vinegar will work wonders in the bathroom at breaking down dirt and cutting through grime and mould, while shaving foam is the secret to streak-free mirrors.

Chantel’s first tip is to mix equal parts dishwashing liquid and white vinegar in a dish brush and scrub various surfaces in your bathroom to leave them sparkling and clean.

‘This mix is great at removing mildew from the shower – like the shower door seal and silicone,’ Chantel said.

Chantel (pictured with her daughter) said her favourite cleaning products are simple supermarket buys including baking soda, white vinegar, lemons, tea tree oil and lavender essential oil

‘My second tip is your should remove your shower door seal and use this mix to remove mildew easily.’

Finally, if you want to de-fog a mirror instantly and prevent the fog from returning, the mum-of-two recommends you ‘buff’ them quickly and easily with shaving foam on a microfibre cloth.

Then simply wash the shaving foam away to reveal a clear, streak-free mirror or glass window.
