Coronation Streets Justin star Andrew Still’s life off-screen including big transformation

Coronation Street fans were over the moon when villainous acid attacker Justin Rutherford was finally caught and faced trial over his terrible crimes.

Justinwas eventually convicted for his heinous behaviour and found guilty on Monday, leaving fans totally over the moon and full of praise for Andrew Still’s thrilling portrayal of the villain.

The actor, 29, only joined the soap in 2022 but has already soared to fame thanks to the harrowing storyline.

Fans of the show can't wait to see what will happen to Justin next, but what about the man who brought him to life? Here's everything to know about actor Andrew Still…

The actor scored his big break at the tender age of 17 when he secured a regular role on rival soap Hollyoaks, playing Joel Dexter.

Andrew’s character Joel had a turbulent time between 2011 and 2013 – and his storyline ended with a dramatic kidnapping and a stabbing.

In 2016, Joel returned to Hollyoaks, but was recast with new actor Rory Douglas-Speed.

Andrew has confessed that getting work as an actor hasn’t always been easy for him.

He admitted in an interview that: “After I came out of Hollyoaks, I had one of those periods where you are not sure where you are going.

"You know how they talk about 90 percent of actors being out of work, well, I had the out of work experience. I had a year solid of getting nothing.”

While he was struggling with his career, Andrew turned his attention to another of his passions – music.

He joined a pal’s band to play guitar, which he said helped him recover from “a rut” in his life.

As well as his love for music, the star has previously talked about his love for gaming and has admitted that he often turns to his beloved Nintendo Switch to unwind after a long day at work.

Andrew explained that he uses it to switch off after filming particularly emotionally intense storylines.

In 2015, the star was able to find work again and was cast in Waterloo Road – which recently sent viewers wild when a former cast member returned after a 16 year break.

Andrew ended up appearing as Scott Fairchild in 10 episodes of the popular teen series.

Not much is known about Andrew’s love life, but it’s believed that he has a long-term girlfriend known to the general public as Fi and it's thought that she's also a working actress.
