Dan Levy has joined the cast of “Sex Education” for its upcoming fourth season.

Netflix revealed on Friday that the actor, 39, will play author and tutor Thomas Molloy in the popular British comedy-drama.

The “Degrassi” alum’s character will tutor Maeve (Emma Mackey) on the show in an elite United States course at Cavendish Sixth Form College.

Levy shared a still from the set via Instagram, calling his new role “VERY serious news.”

Noah Reid, who played Levy’s husband on “Schitt’s Creek,” called his former co-star “Mr. Molly” in the comments.

As for the screenwriter’s sister, Sarah Levy, she commented on the social media upload with multiple clapping emojis.

This new role comes two years after Dan wrapped up the last season of “Schitt’s Creek,” which he co-created in 2013. He also starred in the show, playing David Rose for six seasons until the Emmy-winning show’s April 2020 finale.

The producer “cried for five straight hours” filming the last episode, he told GQ in a November 2019 interview.

“It was really, really hard,” Dan said, calling the last day one of the most “emotional” of his whole life.

“I had a splitting headache and didn’t know what to do with my life,” he added at the time. “I wept when I took David’s shoes off. I will never wear those shoes again — nor do I want to — but I was very sad to take them off.”

Since the final episode of “Schitt’s Creek” aired, Dan has had roles in “Happiest Season” and “Coastal Elites.”

The comedian also hosted “Saturday Night Live” in February 2021.
