Exclusive royal Beanie Baby toy to pay tribute to the late Queen

Royal fans go wild as new Beanie Baby is revealed in homage to the Queen – but collectors are left devastated to learn it will only be sold in the UK

Beanie collectors and royals fans alike are desperate to get their hands on an exclusive royal Beanie Baby toy which pays tribute to the late Queen.

Toy shop Ty has launched the iconic plush toy called ‘Elizabeth II’ which will go on sale at the end of October. 

Royal fans have been left ‘in tears’ by the toy and desperate to add it to their collections. 

But while there has been joy in the UK, beanie collectors around the world have been left devastated that they can’t get their hands on the rare exclusive.

Launched in tribute to the late Queen, the new bear (pictured) is available in baby blue – her favourite colour – and bears a gold embroidered crown on her chest.

One social media user wrote: ‘Sucks it’s a UK exclusive. I was literally about to run to the website to buy it.’

Another wrote: ‘No!!! Please release in US too! I need it to sit with my Diana beanie and buddy!’

Someone else added: ‘Ohhhhh my…. How can we get that in Japan??? I’m really beanie baby collector in Japan.’ [sic]

And another wrote: ‘Why can’t we get it in Canada!?’ 

 

After Ty’s announcement on social media, fans went wild, saying the bear had made them cry – with others outside the UK venting their fury at being unable to buy it 

Meanwhile other beanie  fans flocking to share their thoughts. 

One person said: ‘Inside the tag just made me cry.’

Another wrote: ‘This is such a lovely gesture.’ 

A third wrote: ‘I WANT ONE. MY GRANDDAUGHTER LOVED QUEEN ELIZABETH II.’

And a fourth added: ‘Beautiful. Also I love that you bring back the classic style, it’s so lovely.’

The tag thanks the Queen for her faultless service and reign, saying that she kept her word to serve her nation

Launched in tribute to the late Queen, the new bear is available in baby blue – her favourite colour – and bears a gold embroidered crown on her chest.

It is completed with a white and platinum coloured ribbon as a nod to the Queen’s historic 70-year reign.

Its tag reads: ‘As a young Queen, you gave us your word, Above and beyond, your life you served. A faultless reign as our Head of State, thank you for everything, Queen Elizabeth the Great.’

Ty Warner has also made £100,000 donation to Cruse Bereavement Support, a charity the late Queen supported for 38 years.

The popular bears, which were launched in 1993, have become a staple collector’s item and a symbol of the iconic nineties pop culture.

Amongst the range of the highly sought after pieces was ‘Princess’, a purple memorial bear for £5.99 released in 1997 following the death of Diana the Princess of Wales.

Its release saw thousands queuing outside shops was available worldwide.

Due to its UK exclusivity, this new Elizabeth II bear will likely become be a rare collector’s item.
