Girlfriend's rude and ungrateful son is stinking out our house with drugs | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: I’M sure my girlfriend’s adult son’s drug use is behind his aggressive and threatening behaviour.

I’m 42 and my partner is 39. Her son is 19.

His room stinks of weed and I think he might be taking other drugs as well.

He’s not working and spends the day loafing around the house and is then out most of the night until the early hours.

He’s rude, ungrateful and we’re paying for everything. He keeps stealing money from us.

Apart from physically manhandling him out of the house, what can we do?

DEIDRE SAYS:  You and your girlfriend will need to stand tight together to be effective.

You will both need to spell out clear boundaries in order to help him.

No drugs in your home is a good start.

Let him know there will be no more handouts and he needs to get a job.

He needs help, but only he can decide when he is ready.

You and his mum will need support, too.
