Actor Guy Pearce has listed his home in Melbourne’s Middle Park for sale with a price guide of $8.5 million to $9.35 million – and buyers might think they’re seeing double.
The Richardson Street residence was originally two houses, later joined together to create one of the largest blocks in the inner bayside suburb.
Public records show Pearce acquired the first house for $361,000 in 1995, while the second changed hands for $1.35 million in 2004.
Set on 748 square metres, the redesigned four-bedroom Edwardian home now has a 20-metre frontage.
There’s an expansive living/dining space with north-facing oversized windows and skylights, plus enough space for a media room and study. The garden includes a firepit zone and a soundproof studio.

The listing was first reported by News Corp Australia.
Morrell and Koren buyer’s agent Matt Cleverdon, who is not involved with the sale, said the Richardson Street house was a rare land parcel for the inner suburb.
“It is unique in that it is quite a big land offering for that area of Melbourne,” Cleverdon said. “That land size is acreage for Middle Park.”
Middle Park’s median house price was $2,495,000 over the 12 months to March on Domain data, and it is one of the most expensive suburbs by square metre of land in Melbourne.
Pearce and his partner, Game of Thrones star Carice van Houten, reportedly live in the Netherlands with their son.
Last year Pearce sold his country retreat near Geelong for $1.27 million, just $70,000 more than he paid about 12 months earlier. Pearce grew up in Geelong and attended Geelong College before living in Melbourne when he worked on the TV soap Neighbours.
He’s also known for roles in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; L.A. Confidential; The King’s Speech; Iron Man 3; Jack Irish; Mare of Easttown; and a return to Neighbours for last year’s star-studded finale.
