Gwyneth Paltrow Is a Vision in a Striped Cutout Gown at Veuve Clicquot’s Anniversary Party

Gwyneth Paltrow was a vision as she arrived at Veuve Clicquot’s 250th anniversary party last night. The Goop founder made an appearance at the fete in Beverly Hills wearing a breezy black-and-white striped gown by Carolina Herrera. The piece was sleeveless on one side and featured a billowing sleeve on the other, accented by a large rose-shaped design. There was also a large torso cutout and a high leg slit, with the long skirt tied together like a beach sarong.

Paltrow finished the airy California-girl ensemble with black strappy sandals and gold-and-diamond earrings. Her hair was styled down in relaxed waves, and she wore rosy makeup and a dark eye.

Paltrow, who turned 50 on September 27, recently spoke to People about the milestone, saying she has never felt better.

“I feel so happy being 50,” she said. “I really flipped out when I turned 40, because I thought, ‘My life is over. I’m not going to be attractive anymore, and society isn’t going to want me.’ I really panicked. Turning 50 was the polar opposite. I was like, ‘I’ve never felt better in my own skin, and I don’t care if people think I’m attractive or not. I love myself.’ It’s a great feeling.”

Paltrow said she’s also begun to feel more “confident.”

“There are things that can still throw me off, and I can get self-doubt, but I think for the most part I know who I am,” she said. “I like who I am. And I know the direction I’m going in. There’s an ease that has happened.”
