Heinz and Absolute Vodka launch new pasta sauce to offer ultimate experience

Pasta and vodka are a combination that many foodies appreciate.

The dish is made with the alcohol and penne pasta, as well as heavy cream, crushed tomatoes and onions.

Some people might throw in a bit of meat or vegetables too.

Now what if we told you this combination comes in a jar so you don't have to do it yourself.

Teaming up with Absolut Vodka is Heinz to give foodies a seriously mouth-watering finished product.

The food and drink duo made the perfect sauce for chucking in with pasta for TikTok's famous penne alla vodka dish.

Inspired by social media recipes from the days of lockdown, the spicy sauce is now available in Waitrose from April 12.

Sadly it's only a limited edition release so make sure you're quick to get your hands on one of the jars.

And don't worry about getting drunk on pasta.

During the cooking process, the alcohol from the vodka is reduced, creating a rich texture to balance the rest.

The vodka helps intensify the rich and creamy tomato, basil and cheese sauce.

Caio Fontenele, Heinz new ventures director, said: "While it may have taken over 150 years of tomato expertise to launch our first Heinz pasta sauce, we're determined to continue innovating and delighting consumers with delicious flavours, at the speed of social media trends.

"The iconic combination of Heinz's high-quality tomato sauces and Absolut's premium vodka is set to offer fans the ultimate pasta alla vodka experience."

You can use the Heinz x Absolut Tomato Vodka Pasta Sauce with your pasta.

All you have to do is warm it through with the pasta when cooking on the hob.

Jars will retail for £2.50 for 350g and some can already be pre-ordered online.
