Hello, Your Weekly Tarot Card Reading Is Here
You don’t need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here’s what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces, plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!
A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: THE WORLD
The World is the tarot’s final card and its ultimate destination. In that sense, it can represent endings, achievements, and ambitions fulfilled. However, it also reminds us that every ending is also a new beginning. Life is all about cycles. Recognize the ebb and flow in your own life this week. What is growing? What is reaching its natural end? Reflect on that this week.
ARIES: NINE OF CUPS
My mom always says, “If you don’t ask, you don’t get” (although she also says, “You get what you get, not what you want”). The Nine of Cups reveals that you CAN get what you want this week, Aries, but you won’t if you don’t ask! So make a wish—particularly one centered on love, career, home, or fun—and start working towards it. The sky’s the limit and anything is possible…but you have to ask.
TAURUS: THE EMPEROR
Power dynamics in relationships are tricky to manage. The Emperor shows that you’re struggling to figure out how to make an important relationship in your life (it could be with a family member, friend, lover, or colleague) feel more balanced. Maybe there’s a sparky, aggressive chemistry that works, but it’s tiring and someone always end up feeling hurt. Or maybe someone’s always giving and someone’s always taking. Try and address this. Find balance.
GEMINI: ACE OF CUPS
A magical new relationship is about to begin! The Ace of Cups brings new love, romance, passion, and loyalty to your world—so basically, everything you’re looking for right now. This could be a new romantic partner, a new BFF, a new pet, a new baby in the family, or even a new bestie at work. Keep your eyes open for people you feel an immediate connection to. This is just the beginning.
CANCER: KING OF SWORDS
Head vs. heart decisions suck. Cancer, you usually lead with your heart…and this hasn’t always worked out for you. Don’t make that mistake this week. Feelings are important, but don’t make your decisions based on emotions alone. The King of Swords asks you to consider the facts. Consider the logical conclusions you can draw about what’s going on, what your options are, and what the RIGHT thing to do is. Lead with your head this week.
LEO: NINE OF WANDS
Leo, it really isn’t all that bad. I know you think that this situation is dire…but it isn’t, I promise. The Nine of Wands reassures you that you are in control, you can handle this, and the issues are not as complex or negative as you fear. Dread is a powerful paralyzer. But if you take action and face this head-on, you’ll be on the other side in no time. You got this.
VIRGO: THE HIEROPHANT
Have you ever thought about seeking out a mentor? The Hierophant suggests that it might be a good idea right now. This isn’t necessarily about work. You could start talking to your yoga teacher about their practice, to your grandma about her life history, to your local bookshop owner about their favorite novels. Seek out people who have something to teach you and ask them questions.
LIBRA: FIVE OF PENTACLES
I have been to many of my own “self-pity parties,” where I quietly sniffle about whatever issue I was dealing with in that time (plenty of which I’ve forgotten about by now). Libra, enough wallowing. You can been at this self-pity party for too long, and it’s time to move on. Look ahead. Others are waiting for you to get your head up, notice them, and rejoin your life. You have been missed. Start living again.
SCORPIO: SIX OF CUPS
Knock, knock. The past is calling and you need to open the door and welcome it in! The Six of Cups is a nostalgic and affectionate tarot card. It signals that someone or something you once loved is coming back into your life. This is a good thing! Look out for water signs (Scorpio, Cancer, or Pisces) or activities linked to a past place or role you really loved. Have fun!
SAGITTARIUS: TEMPERANCE
Temperance is your sign’s tarot card, which means this is a big week for you, Sag. It involves two aspects. First, the ~event~. Something wacky, unexpected, and spontaneous is going to kick off in your world, and everything will feel different afterwards (in a good way!). Second, you’re going to get mystical and deep about it all. You love to philosophize and this ~event~ provides brand new stimulus. This will lead to an epiphany about you, your world, and everything else. Get ready!
CAPRICORN: QUEEN OF WANDS
The Queen of Wands is an invitation to take charge of your social, fun, and romantic life and amp it up. Set off an adventure of some kind. Travel, explore, try different things, go out to meet new people. Bring in a surge of fresh energy this week, in any form you like. Focus on enjoying yourself, nothing else. You rarely let off steam, and now is the time.Have fun!
AQUARIUS: SEVEN OF WANDS
When you have a rival, it must mean you’re doing something right, right? Obviously, you’re attracting attention, and the ~prize~ you’re working for is worth the effort. The Seven of Wands sees you attracting rivals this week. So be it. Don’t let it trouble you, because it’s a positive signal you’re on track. And trust me, you can handle them. You are going to win this little game. Enjoy the ride.
PISCES: SEVEN OF SWORDS
Pisces you are a kind, helpful, wise, and intuitive person, but you tend to be too trusting and you can overlook the most overtly bad behavior. Stop. Protect yourself. The Seven of Swords urges you to be cautious around someone who has burned you once before. You know what they say: “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” Don’t expose your vulnerabilities. Be careful this week.
