Love Island star signs up for Celebs Go Dating just hours after split with boyfriend | The Sun

CELEBS Go Dating bosses have snared a Love Island star to join their line up – just hours after she split from her boyfriend.

Scottish reality star Laura Anderson, 33, is going to be a part of the new series following her break up with Dane Bowers, 42.

Laura and Dane’s split was made public on Thursday, with insiders saying she was confirmed for Celebs Go Dating the following day.

The pair had been together for five years before they ended their relationship.

A source said: “Laura is the latest star to sign up for Celebs Go Dating – and she’s only been single for a matter of hours.

“She is a great addition to the line-up and will be really entertaining on screen.

“Dane might not be too impressed to see her trying to snare another bloke on national television – especially because their break up is so fresh.

“Laura and Dane made their break up public on Thursday and by the Friday she was telling people she had signed up to Celebs Go Dating.”

Last week Love Island 2015 star Laura said she was leaving Dubai where she was living with Dane for a fresh start in the UK.

She said in a statement: “Just to let all of my beautiful support on here know that unfortunately Dane and I have decided to separate.

“Thank you all for your continued support.

“Sadly we're just not right for each other but I do wish him nothing but love.

“I will be moving back to the UK as soon as I can.”

Laura got back together with Dane in 2021 – three years after she dumped him for cheating.

At the time, she revealed how she was able to trust her boyfriend again and how they were trying for a baby.

She opened up about her relationship last year saying: "Relationships only really ever work out when you both love each other equally, which is something that is actually quite hard to find, and is often down to timing.

“I was chasing my boyfriend Dane when he didn’t really want a girlfriend. Now it’s the complete reverse – he chases me.

“I met Dane at a pool party while I was living in Dubai in November 2017 and I instantly liked how chilled-out and funny he was.

“When I said I had to leave, he asked me out for dinner and things went from there.

“He’s 10 years older than me, but you can get someone who’s 21 and is really mature, and you can get Dane, who, when he was in his late thirties, wasn’t ready for a relationship.

“We were dating for six months when I found out he was seeing someone else.

“We weren’t in a relationship at that point, and we never said we were exclusive, but I was disappointed, so I confronted him and ended it.

“It was all very upsetting, and that’s when I applied to go on Love Island. It was just on a whim, but then when I got in against the odds, I took it as a sign I should do it.”
