A HIGH street store is offering vouchers for old tech including mobile phones – and it will now even come and collect them.
Currys launched its hugely successful"Cash for Trash" scheme last year, and it has recently taken the recycling service on the road.
A pilot is taking place in Bradford that sees an electric van driving around the city collecting unwanted tech from people's front doors.
The van will also park up at the local community centre, Community Works, for drop-in sessions about any questions and recycling gadgets.
Currys will collect any items that house wirings or batteries, such as chargers and cables.
Beauty appliances such as straighteners and hair dryers, and kitchen appliances like kettles and toasters are also accepted.

When people trade in their old tech, they will receive a £5 voucher to spend at Currys in-store or online.
Just keep in mind you need to spend at least £25 to be able to use it.
You can also bring in your old gadgets for recycling in stores.
The Cash for Trash initiative saw over 46,000 tonnes recycled in the last year.

The electrical retail giant says 527million pieces of unused tech are being hoarded in homes across Britain and at least 155,000 tonnes of tech ends up in UK landfills every year.
Mandeep Gobindpuri, head of circular economy at Currys, said: "We know that people want to recycle – our survey found that 84% of the nation said they would recycle their old tech – but more than half either don’t know how to or lack the means to do so.
"Our new service aims to address both issues by collecting and educating the public."
Other retailers offering trade-ins for cash
Currys isn't the only retailer offering trade-ins in exchange for money.
For example, if you are looking to trade an old iPhone, other than Currys, you could try Apple’s trade-in site, Carphone Warehouse and Amazon.
There are also online price comparison sites that can help you find the best offer: Sell My Mobile, Compare and Recycle and Compare My Mobile.
Don't forget you can always sell your old gadgets on eBay.
Use the quotes given to you on recycling sites as a guide and see if you can get more.
But you should make sure to check first if it’s worth the hassle of listing it, paying selling fees, packaging up and posting.
