A mother has shared a hilarious video after finding out why her child’s bangs were mysteriously disappearing.

Breez Harley, from Canada, took to TikTok recently to reveal that she had been noticing son Lander’s hair had been ‘getting shorter and shorter,’ but she hadn’t touched his locks.

‘My baby has long hair and he’s a boy, and I’ve been noticing his bangs look like someone cut them,’ she said in the short clip that had garnered more than 2.5 million views at the time of writing.

‘So I was like what the heck, what is going on? They keep getting shorter and shorter. You look like you have a mullet.’

Breez said she then received a video from her boyfriend while she was at work.

Her TikTok cuts to his video where Lander is seen standing near their pet guinea pig’s cage and shared his theory about what had been happening with the little boy’s hair.

‘You see Lander puts his head right here,’ Breez’s boyfriend said as he gestured to the cage’s bars before continuing: ‘And the guinea pigs… they come along and they’ve been chewing on his hair. Look how uneven his bangs are.’

Her boyfriend could barely contain his laughter as he filmed the video.

‘I’m pretty sure the guinea pigs have been giving him a haircut,’ he said.

And as if on cue, Lander puts his head up against the bars and Breez’s partner catches the guinea pig chewing on the boy’s hair on camera, confirming his theory.

‘Lander get your head away from there, you’re going to be bald,’ the boyfriend said as he’s heard laughing.

Viewers who had watched the video were equally amused.

It’s then revealed in a video sent to the mother by her boyfriend that Lander had been putting his head up against the bars of their pet guinea pig’s cage

And by doing this, the guinea pig had been munching down on the little boy’s hair

‘So much better than what I was imagining,’ one person wrote.

‘My roommate had hair past her backside and she fell asleep with her guinea and woke up to her screaming. Chewed off about a foot of hair,’ another added.

A third TikTok user said: ‘No one would have believed him if he didn’t catch it on video… Because I was hesitant at first.’

‘He didn’t choose mullet life… the guinea pig chose it for him,’ someone else wrote.

But it’s not the first time the pet has been caught munching on their owner’s hair.

Previously Kentucky hairdresser Gara Sullivan revealed she had woken up from a drunken sleep to discover her bald guinea pig had chewed off her hair.

The video had been viewed more than 2.5 million times at the time of writing, with people amused by the revelation

She had been out celebrating Thanksgiving in 2021 and after returning home having drunk ‘pretty heavily’ decided to curl up on the floor with her three-year-old guinea pig, Dixie.

The then 29-year-old said she was in a deep sleep and only made the discovery when she looked in the mirror the following morning.

Initially she was horrified by her chewed-up ‘do, but then her horror turned to fear that her beloved pet had swallowed clumps of her hair and could be ill.

But Gara said she felt some relief when she discovered a pile of her chewed-off strands next to a guilty-looking Dixie – quipping the naked critter was jealous of her flowing locks.
