Coordinated dressing is a royal style trick that has been tried and tested for decades.

And Zara and Mike Tindall shown us they are accomplished practitioners with delightful displays of sartorial synchronisation .

Not only does it look good in photographs – and is pleasing to the eye – it subconsciously portrays a united front.

Being part of the royal family and the style icons within it, for the dynamic duo to make an impact they have taken their dressing to a new level with their twinning outfits, reaffirming their status as a power couple.

Some careful fashion coordination highlights their shared aesthetic, but it also reinforces their harmonious bond as a couple.

A melody in mauve…royal power couple Zara and Mike Tindall are adept at  sartorial synchronisation

Royal Fashion expert Eliza Scarborough says the Tindalls have got it just right

The Prince and Princess of Wales are equally as strategic about colour-matching, although they tend to stick to a palette of blues, red and pastels, avoiding statement shades, something that the Tindalls’ have not shied away from.

However, they do not fall into the celebrity trap of matchy-matchy overly obvious combinations reminiscent of David and Victoria Beckham in leather, or Justin and Britney in denim, instead their impeccable looks combine elegance, individuality, and a dash of playfulness.

Their coordination has become more considered in recent years going further than a single accessory.

Now it is more about the whole outfit working together immaculately from top to toe.

This is thanks to stylist Annie Miall who has dressed the pair in recent years and captures Zara’s vibrant personality.

Whether it is just a simple matching of textures or a clever combination of prints, not only do they look finished, styled and curated for a polished and professional look, but it equally helps cement their personal brand and commitment to each other.
