Huge closing down sales of up to 80% as major fashion retailer to shut seven stores TODAY – is yours on the list? | The Sun

A MAJOR retailer has launched huge closing down sales as it pulls down shutters on dozens of stores.

M&Co is set to close all of its 170 stores after it fell into administration last year.

The company has already closed 51 for good and The Sun revealed yesterday (April 12) 43 more will be closing by the end of this month, including seven today.

Most stores have launched huge closing down sales to clear excess stock.

One eagle-eyed shopper posted on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group about a sale in the Blandford Forum branch in Dorset.

They said: "Anyone that has school kids.

Meanwhile, M&Co's branch in Rayleigh, Essex, has launched an up to 80% off sale – including on footwear and clothes.

You should check out your local M&Co branch for details on when it is closing and any sales.

Each branch should have its own Facebook page and M&Co has a store locator which you can use to check out opening times too.

What other closures are there?

It's not just M&Co which is closing down stores.

Marks and Spencer is shutting up shop on 67 branches over the next five years.

However, at the same time, the retailer has plans to open 104 new "bigger and fresher" stores – and some could be in the same areas as those closing.

B&Q closed eight stores last month too.

It's not just retailers closing stores – Wetherspoon and Stonegate, which owns Slug and Lettuce and Be At One, are closing a number of boozers and restaurants this year.

Plus, a host of high street banks and building societies are shutting dozens of branches this year – and some are closing this month.

Barclays is set to close 22 branches in April, while HSBC is pulling down the shutters for good on 11 branches.
