DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN my girlfriend left me, I thought life couldn’t get any worse. I was wrong.
This past year, my dad became critically ill with Covid, and I got made redundant.
At 24, my life has fallen apart, and I can’t see a way forward.
I thought my girlfriend and I would move in together, and get married one day. But she said she was having second thoughts, no longer saw a future with me, and wanted to go travelling.
After she left, my dad got sick, and we thought we’d lose him.
Then just as he came out of hospital, I lost my job. I am broken.
