A woman who fell in love with her first cousin has revealed how they told their family they were together.
Angela Peang, from Eagle Mountain, Utah, appeared on Amazon’s Extreme Love alongside her husband Michael Lee in January 2020, where they explained that their love began with a crush in second grade.
However their families were keen to ‘keep them apart’, with the couple comparing their romance to ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
It was only as adults, after they both divorced their respective spouses, that they reunited and decided to make things official.
The couple ended up telling their parents – who are brother and sister – about their romance by sharing a picture in their family Facebook group, with Michael saying: ‘They were shocked and horrified.’

She appeared on Amazon’s Extreme Love alongside her husband Michael Lee in January 2020, where they explained that their love began with a crush in second grade
Their strong connection began when they were just children, with Michael explaining: ‘It was second grade, we were about eight-years-old. We immediately clicked and we were like best friends.
‘We were slow dancing in the closet and we got caught kissing.’
Angela said: ‘I got pulled aside by my parents and they said, “What is going on?” And my mom said, “Cool it Angie.”
‘We felt like from then on we were kinda kept apart. It felt a little bit unfair, it felt a little bit like Romeo and Juliet – except for these warring families, it’s the same family.’
After years of the family keeping them apart, Angie and Michael were reunited as adults.
In the clip, Angie said: ‘Nine months ago, we saw each other for the first time in 10 years and just fireworks.
‘It felt like we picked up where we left off.’
Meanwhile Michael said: ‘Immediately it was like, “She’s still super hot.”

Angie explained: ‘I had a sex dream about Michael after that and I wanted to tell him about it but I was so nervous that he didn’t feel the same way.’
They ended up telling their family by sharing a polaroid onto the family of them kissing.
Angie said: ‘We got kicked off the family group page.’
Meanwhile Michael added: ‘They were shocked and horrified.’
Angie added that they ‘took some more polaroids but never showed them to anybody.’
In 2019, the couple drove across state lines to Grand Junction, Colorado, so that they could get married, because it would have been illegal for them to marry in Utah.
The couple had to travel to Colorado to exchange vows, because they would only be allowed to get married in Utah when they are 65 years old – or 55 years old if they can prove they are infertile.
Keen to expand their family, they decided to undertake some testing.
‘We had to do our due diligence because everyone was saying to us, ‘No, don’t do that,’ and ‘It’s so risky and irresponsible,” Peang explained to the New York Post.
‘So we did genetic testing and found out it was OK for us to parent together.’

The couple were ecstatic when blood test determined that they could have a child.
‘It was such a relief,’ Peang added. ‘Now we are planning for a wonderful future together.’
That May, they shared they had suffered a miscarriage – however they ended up welcoming a son, Eric, in 2020.
Peang – who has three children from a previous marriage – shared that the couple’s huge sexual appetite helped with the conception of their child.
‘We have a strong attraction and it’s very mutually satisfying,’ she said. ‘You have the erotic side, the friendship side, the family side and the spiritual connection.
‘It’s a supercharged relationship.’
They said they didn’t care what the rest of their family thinks.
Tragically, Angie updated her YouTube fans in July that her husband Michael had passed away after suffering a seizure at work.
