I was told women are past it over 45 – but Im making thousands on OnlyFans

OnlyFans star Elaina St. James was told she was 'too old' to make it on the site. And what's worse is that it was her own mother who told her that.

However, she's proving all her doubters wrong by raking in the cash from her raunchy pics and videos.

The 55-year-old has opened up about her journey from mum to OnlyFans star in a HuffPost article.

Elaina says things all began when she noticed a 'pretty mum' reveal she was making six figures a month on OnlyFans.

"I was 53 and single after the pandemic had thrown cold water on a promising long-distance relationship," she wrote.

"I was raising my pre-teen son, taking care of my ageing mother and working a remarkably boring office job that offered no benefits or chance for career advancement, but it was close to home and had day shift hours, which was best for my son."

Elaina said she started reading other articles on OnlyFans models and realised that all the women were attractive but 'weren't supermodels'.

"I wasn’t in great shape but felt I could clean up well enough that maybe, just maybe, this could be my chance to make some additional income. I will never forget thinking, If I can make one-tenth of what these women make, it will be life-changing," she said.

For the next month, the model says she worked during the day, did her 'mum duties' when she got home then went into 'full-on OnlyFans research mode' once her son went to bed.

There were a few hurdles – she wasn't naturally good at social media and her wardrobe attire was lacking in sexy clothes.

Elaina also revealed she'd been told she was "too old" to model now.

"My mother had told me that 'when a woman is past 45, she becomes invisible to men'. When I went on dating apps and saw that most men around my age were looking for women much younger than me, I accepted that she was right," she said.

"I felt resigned to the fact that my days of being desirable were over."

However, after months more researching, she finally took the leap.

At first she didn't show her face – only her 'mum bod' – and was surprised her first two subscribers were in their twenties.

Subscribers urged her to show her face, which led her Instagram follower count to "explode".

Today, she says her subscribers range from 19-79, but that her main demographic is 24-40.

Elaina also has 235,000 Instagram followers, is the author of book 'How To Date Hot Older Women', and is making more than $10,000 (£8,2500) a month.

"The universe presented an opportunity, and I seized it, and because of it, I have learned several valuable lessons: taking calculated (not reckless) risks can bring about incredible changes; life rewards action; never give up the hope that tomorrow could spark an idea that could change your life for the better (and keep your eyes peeled for them); and most of all, you can begin again at any age ― women don’t become invisible at 50 (unless they want to be, and that’s OK too)," she wrote.

Elaina's comments come after she recently revealed her son knows – and cringes – about the fact that she's a nude model.
