I'm a bargain expert – here's a genius hack that can save you up to £349 on your online shopping | The Sun

A DEAL Expert has revealed a nifty money-saving hack Brits can cash in on when shopping at Amazon.

The trick can save hundreds of pounds and be used on anything from TVs and microwaves, to shoes and baby bottles.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of shopping community LatestDeals.co.uk, has exclusively told The Sun his money-saving hack for shopping at Amazon.

Tom, 32, from London said, "I discovered this tip when I was shopping for a new TV.

"I was looking at Amazon's website and was about to buy when I thought I better do a quick search to see if it was cheaper anywhere else first.

"What I found really surprised me."

Tom discovered if you search on Amazon's foreign websites such as Amazon Germany, Amazon Spain, or Amazon France, you can sometimes find the same product for cheaper, including with delivery, import duties and taxes.

He explained: "For example, I found you can get the same LG TV for £673.09 in the UK, but £324.93 (€369 euros) on the German store.

"Even with delivery costs and possible import duties it would be hundreds of pounds cheaper."

Tom says he has no idea why Amazon sells the same product for less in another country.

He added: "It could be that prices can vary depending on the local economy and demand. Or, Amazon may have excess inventory in one country that they need to clear out – like when you have too many clothes in your closet and you need to make space for new ones. Or competition can vary between markets."

"To search for a product across multiple Amazon stores use tools such as Hagglezon, Trycross, and MaxSpar.

"They allow you to compare prices across different Amazon websites. All you need to do is search for the product you’re looking for, and these tools will show you the prices on Amazon’s websites in other countries."

"For example, I recently used these tools to find a Ninja Dual Airfyer. In the UK, the Ninja Air Fryer was £388.97.

"But when I checked the price on Amazon’s Swedish website, I found the same product for just £170.94 (2,199 Swedish Krona – that’s a massive saving.)

"Of course, it’s important to factor in any extra delivery costs and ensure that the increased delivery time still results in a saving."

Shopping around and prices comparisons are great ways for shoppers to get quality items for the best price.

Amazon also runs a deals section which applies discounts to a regularly changing lineup of products.

Meanwhile, shoppers who buy the same items repeatedly have the subscribe and save option, where you can get your items delivered monthly for a reduced price through the site.
