A makeup artist who is missing some of her top teeth has wowed fans with her incredible ‘catfish’ beauty transformation, and has even been compared to Mariah Carey. 

Sarah Andres, from Edmonton, who goes by @lashesandlosing on TikTok, recently shared a video for her 747,700 fans, showing how she transformed in her at-home makeup studio.

All of a sudden, every visible pore disappeared from the self-taught makeup artist’s skin in the footage – and she switched from her animal print dressing gown and casual ponytail into a more elegant getup – a suave plunge neck dress with her locks styled just like Mariah Carey’s.

Fans were quick to point out her uncanny resemblance to the award-winning singer. Although it is not clear if this was Sarah’s intent, the talented TikToker welcomed the comparison in the comments.

However, some followers weren’t so kind as one warned: ‘Scary ain’t it boys? You never know.’

The video showing her likeness to the Always Be My Baby singer has been flooded with dozens of comments praising the beauty influencer, who lost two of her top front teeth in a quad biking incident.

Some begged Sarah for a complete makeup tutorial, and several described her transformation as ‘amazing’.

Proud of her talent, she was not afraid to acknowledge her shocking transformation, even going as far as calling herself a ‘#catfish’ for her 747.7K fans to see.

However, although the self-taught makeup artist has amassed a massive 8.4 million likes on the social media platform, not all comments were positive. 

Some were skeptical that makeup was her only assistance, with one viewer claiming the TikTok sensation ‘uses a filter to cover her nasolabial folds’.

Another, who appeared to be a man, critcized Canadian woman, saying: ‘Until you wake up next to them in the morning’.

But many came to the influencer’s defence, reassuring her that ‘haters are jealous’.

‘I think you are great at what you do. The makeup application is flawless,’ a fan wrote.

And while her fans were left mesmerised, they weren’t satisfied with the brief video, spanning only 12 seconds – instead urging Sarah to drop a complete makeup tutorial so her fans can also imitate the gorgeous singer.

The TikToker, who hails from Edmonton in eastern Canada, often wows fans with her makeup transformations, using before and after frames to show the very stark difference that can be achieved through the power of makeup.

It comes after a 47-year-old Kansas woman made shockwaves after she posted a video showing off her natural beauty versus how she looks when she has a full face of glam. 

The mom-of-one ‘Catfish Queen’ is also able to dramatically alter her appearance using products like concealer, foundation, mascara, eyeshadow, and lipstick – and many people on the internet cannot believe that it is the same person throughout her videos.
