A psychologist has revealed the four ways you can tell if your crush is interested in you based on how they text. 

Francesca Tighinean, who is originally from Romania but is now based in the US, studied psychology at City University in London.

She has since earned viral fame by sharing a slew of psychology tips with her 1.3 million followers on TikTok.

In her most recent clip, she gave viewers a list of signs to help them identify if someone is just stringing them along and doesn’t have true feelings for them.

The first sign your lover may not be the one involves the speed at which they respond to you

She captioned the video: ‘Four texting signs they’re actually not interested.’

Tough love! The signs your crush doesn’t feel the same way  

They take too long to respond to your text messages

You are always the on initiating the conversation

They only give you attention on social media but can’t hold conversations 

They never make plans with you  

 

The first sign your lover may not be the one involves the speed at which they respond to you. 

‘Number one, slow texting. The moment you start feeling like, “Oh they texted me in four hours, I’ll wait for seven,” when you start feeling like you need to play games to get their attention, it’s a huge red flag,’ she explained.

‘They are not actually interested.’ 

She noted that if your crush had true feelings for you, you would not have to play games to communicate with them. 

Francesca’s next revealing sign they may not like you back has to do with the amount you and your potential partner talk.

If you find yourself always texting them more often, and being the only one to reach out, then it’s most likely a sign that they don’t feel the same way. 

‘If you’re constantly the one that continues the conversation and if you stop it they don’t continue it, it’s a red flag,’ the psychologist said.

Many times, potential lovers will string you along by giving you attention on social media, but refusing to hold substantial conversations with you. 

The psychologist gave the example of liking your Instagram pictures, adding that it meant nothing if they weren’t having other chats with you.

She also revealed that only giving you attention on social media and not making plans with you were red flags 

‘If they like your Instagram pictures and reply to your stories from time to time but they can’t hold a conversation, it’s your sign to run for the hills,’ she added.

‘They’re just keeping you hanging on with some interaction, but they’re not actually interested.’ 

The last sign your crush doesn’t have feelings for you is if they never make and follow through with plans. 

‘Number four, no hard plans. You’re texting and texting for days and days, but you don’t actually make any concrete plans to meet in person, run,’ she said at the end of her video.
