  • A woman admitted she turned to posting nudes for money after struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.

Ella Thorne, 25, from Hampshire, is getting to grips with the harsh economic climate in the UK by getting her kit off.

After getting fired from her full-time job as a barista, the model's mental health took a turn for the worse.

The thought of finding another conventional job while she felt fragile was not something Ella believed she was capable of at the time.

With bills to pay and the cost-of-living surging, her interest in OnlyFans finally piqued.

Along with doing porn "out of spite" for those who think women sex workers are "sl*ts", the curvy brunette turned to getting her kit off to survive.

And now posts "every crevice" to keep the money coming in to help with financial freedom.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Ella shared how she took the plunge with OnlyFans modelling amid the realities of the cost-of-living crisis.

"I post fully nude pictures and videos on my OnlyFans and I did this almost straight away," she explained.

"I joke in my OnlyFans bio ‘subscribe to see every crevice of my body’.

"It’s nothing I haven’t sent to men – for free – before so I figured ‘why not’, at least I’ll be getting paid for it.

"Plus, nobody can leak your nude photos if you’ve already voluntarily posted them online for everybody to see.

"I’m an advocate for a body being a body, so I don’t think people should have to feel any shame about showing any part of their bodies."

Until now, Ella worked in minimum wage hospitality jobs since she started her working life.

But the demanding hours and little pay eventually took a toll.

Losing her barista job gave the model the extra push to join the raunchy platform in October of last year.

"I’ve suffered with anxiety and depression for most of my life, and after being fired from my job, my mental health had never been worse," she candidly shared.

"I joined OnlyFans in late October, about a week after losing my previous full-time job as a barista.

"I was at rock bottom, suicidal and didn’t feel capable of applying for another ‘normal’ job.

"I’ve worked in hospitality for my whole life up until now and by this point I was exhausted and emotionally drained from putting in maximum effort for minimum wage.

"I was working 40 hours a week on my feet and in stressful environments, and still barely able to make ends meet."

Since she joined in October last year, Ella made just over £4,000 – with the demand for her kinky content growing.

Even though she had a full-time job prior, the model still struggled to pay rent for her studio flat that is the size of a "shoebox".

She racked up her credit cards and couldn't even pay her electricity bill.

Noticing the climbing rates of food inflation, Ella had enough of her financial situation.

The sex positive model decided that OnlyFans was her best route to make 'unlimited' money – and quick.

"I thought about some other options for making money but since I already had a bit of a following on Instagram and TikTok. I figured OnlyFans seemed like my best bet for the time frame I had," Ella shared.

"I’ve been on minimum wage for most of my life.

"I live alone and I’m paying extortionate amounts to privately rent a studio flat the size of a shoebox.

"My bedroom is in my kitchen and I still couldn’t afford my electricity bill with a full-time job and I have credit card debt racked up."

Ella has now taken to TikTok and Instagram to show some insight into posting porn.

She provides a comedic take on her story of joining OnlyFans in the light of the cost-of-living crisis and recently made a viral video about joining due to rising food costs.

The sex industry has helped Ella survive, but not everyone is so fond of her decision.

While she builds on her cash flow, she hopes to break the stigma of flashing your bits for cash – and the reasonings why some people turn to that industry.

"Every time I go to the supermarket it seems like everything’s gone up another 25p," the model said.

"I think a lot of people are getting tired of working so hard all the time and still battling to buy food and pay basic bills.

"I know I am personally fed up of trying to catch up with my bills all the time and going into a line of work such as OnlyFans, where the money you can earn isn’t limited like most jobs, is definitely attractive.

"I really feel that besides going to university and becoming a lawyer or something, for the average working class person it’s one of the only paths you can take where you could potentially end up financially comfortable.

"My goal is to be financially comfortable and able to pay my bills on my own terms so that I’ve got time and energy to enjoy the rest life has to offer.

"And hopefully I’ll be able to break some stigma and social barriers along the way!"
