Inside Love Island winners Kai and Sanams huge welcome home party as they reunite with family

Love Island winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan return home and with it came a huge party as they reunite with family.

Kai, 24 and Sanam, 24 were crowned the winners of this year's winter series of Love Island on Monday evening by presenter Maya Jama.

The loved up pair met less than a month ago when bombshell Sanam entered the villa as part of the notorious Casa Amor twist.

Kai who was previously partnered with Olivia Hawkins turned his head when he met Sanam and decided to recouple.

Their relationship quickly caught the attention of viewers who were soon team Kai and Sanam leading them to a triumphant win from the public's vote and scooping the £50,000 price.

As the whirlwind win of the hit ITV show becomes a reality for the pair they reunite with loved ones and celebrate at a Love Island themed welcome home party.

On Thursday evening Kai and Sanam's friends and families joined them at a venue to party after their epic win.

The winners shared glimpses of the party on their Instagram accounts which had a huge multi-coloured balloon arch, tropical plant theme and welcome home signs with their names on – complete in the Love Island font.

Videos were caught of Kai signing his name on a poster of the couple complete with welcome home and their names written beneath.

Celebrations were also captured as the pair posed with loved ones at the party underneath the impressive balloon arch.

During their show exit interview, Kai revealed he'll ask Sanam to be his girlfriend soon.

He said: "I've made it pretty clear that she is definitely going to be my girlfriend on the outside!

"As soon as we get out here, that's when even more effort starts.

"You can really value someone's time and effort when you have to put in the time and effort. That's what I am looking forward to."

Sanam then explained: "That is something I want to work towards. I've spoken to Kai as well and I would love to work on building us up more on the outside and then work towards moving in together."

Kai quickly added: "I've always said for the right girl and the right relationship you would move anywhere. If you've got a connection with someone and want to spend time with someone wherever they are it's going to feel like home. Living in Bedford is no issue!"

Sanam confirmed and said: "I think it's something we both want, so we will work towards it."

The pair also shared how they intend to spend their winnings and said they are looking at a holiday together, investing "a little bit" and give some to Sanam's mum.

Talking about their plans for the future with their winnings on The Morning After podcast, Kai said: “We have about a thousand dates planned.

"We said we want to go to the Amalfi coast and Santorini. I feel like they are more holidays than dates.

“Maybe invest a little bit.”

Sanam continued: “I am going to be soppy but I am going to give my mum some of course because it’s just me and mum so I have got to support her as well.

“I was literally on the phone going 'Mum you are getting some, I don’t care what Kai says you are getting some' and the rest we will spend on ourselves, invest and build something with it.”

The couple reportedly allowed cameras into the party with footage expected to be shown during the Love Island reunion on Sunday 19 March from 9pm on ITV2.
