- This latest trip marks the latest of many vacations for Ivanka who spent the last half of 2022 traveling all over the world, making stops in Europe, Asia, and Africa
Ivanka Trump woke up bright and early on Wednesday morning to participate in sunrise prayers at the Western Wall — the holiest site in Judaism — after jetting off to Jerusalem with her family.
The former White House senior adviser, 41, took to Instagram Stories to share footage from the pilgrimage, as well as pictures of herself with her husband, Jared Kushner, and her six-year-old son, Theodore.
Ivanka, who was raised Christian, converted to Orthodox Judaism to marry Jared in 2009, and they are raising their children in the same faith. The couple’s daughter, Arabella, 11, and oldest son, Joseph, nine, did not appear to be with them.
The mother of three wore a modest calf-length shirt dress in an eye-catching shade of red. She topped off the look with a pair of gold hoop earrings and classic white and black cap-toe ballerina flats that looked to be Chanel.

Ivanka shared a short video of dozens of worshippers praying at the holy site located in the Old City of Jerusalem as the sun came up and the birds chirped.
‘Sunrise prayers at the Western Wall,’ she captioned the clip.
Located in Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem, the Western Wall is a section of one of four original retaining walls King Herod built in the first century B.C. to support the Temple Mount
It is also the only remaining portion of the Second Jewish Temple, which stood in Jerusalem until the Romans destroyed it in 70 A.D. as they put down a Jewish revolt.
Ivanka went on to post a photo of herself deep in prayer with her forehead and hand resting on the women’s section of the wall in keeping with the gender-segregated Orthodox custom.
The sleeve of her dress was lifted, revealing the red string bracelet on her wrist that she has been wearing off and on for years.
Although she hasn’t spoken about the purpose of the bracelet, it does bear a resemblance to the type of red string that Kabbalah practitioners wear to ward off the ‘evil eye.’
Another snapshot showed her smiling with Jared and their youngest son, who is the spitting image of his father, but with her blonde hair. Ivanka stood behind Theodore and had her arm over his chest.

Another snapshot showed Theodore smiling with his hands on the wall. The couple’s youngest son was wearing a red cast after breaking his wrist last month
The little boy, who wore a yarmulke on his head, was dressed in a cream T-shirt with black stripes, black pants, and black sneakers with touches of red that matched his mom’s dress.
Theodore broke his wrist last month while playing soccer at school, and he was sporting a red cast in the picture.
The proud mom posted a snapshot of Theodore smiling with his hands on the wall, which was likely taken by his father in the men’s section.
Jared, 42, wore a gray sweater paired with a black vest, faded black jeans, and gray New Balance sneakers, his typical dad-on-duty look.
It’s unclear when the family arrived in Jerusalem for the religious trip, which may be an early birthday present for Theodore, who turns seven on March 27.
Ivanka recently enjoyed a mother-daughter trip to Paris with Arabella in December before returning to Florida to celebrate Hanukkah with their family.
If the couple is gifting their children memorable one-on-one getaways, it would seem that Joseph would be next.
However, it’s also possible that Arabella and Joseph are with them on the family vacation but opted to sleep in on Wednesday instead of attending the sunrise prayers.
Ivanka and Jared previously visited the Western Wall with her father, then-President Donald Trump, in May 2017, nearly six years ago

Ivanka and Jared previously visited the Western Wall with her father, then-President Donald Trump, in May 2017, nearly six years ago.
Up until Trump’s visit, it had been U.S. policy for the past 50 years to not recognize East Jerusalem as part of Israel, making a visit to the wall a political minefield.
Shmuel Rabinovich, the Rabbi of the Western Wall, led the president and his son-in-law Jared through a brief lesson about the location’s significance during the visit.
Jared later followed his father-in-law to the wall while the Rabbi’s wife accompanied Ivanka and First Lady Melania Trump to the women’s prayer section.
Ivanka closed her eyes and said her own prayer, much like she did on her most recent visit to the Western Wall.
‘It was deeply meaningful to visit the holiest site of my faith and to leave a note of prayer,’ she tweeted at the time.
Ivanka and Jared relocated to Miami, Florida, with their three children in January 2021 after her father left the White House. She officially quit politics in November when she revealed that she would not be a part of her father’s reelection campaign.
It’s unclear what is in store for her career-wise, if anything.

Ivanka spent the last half of 2022 traveling all over the world, making stops in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
In November, she and her family flew to the Middle East for their children’s first trip to Egypt ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Together, they rode camels and toured the pyramids, including the Great Sphinx of Giza, before traveling to Qatar, where they attended four World Cup matches in three days.
Before her father became president, she appeared on his reality show The Apprentice, served as executive vice president of the Trump Organization, and had her own eponymous fashion lines.
She gave up her former life in New York City to serve in the Trump administration and never returned back to it.
The family’s latest trip comes a week after Ivanka asked for a delay in bringing New York Attorney General Letitia James’ $250 million fraud lawsuit against The Trump Organization to trial.
Ivanka, who left the Trump Organization in 2017 to join her father’s White House administration, appears to be distancing herself from her family in the case.
Her lawyers argued that the fraud complaint ‘does not contain a single allegation that Ms. Trump directly or indirectly created, prepared, reviewed, or certified any of her father’s financial statements.’
WHAT IS THE WESTERN WALL?
The Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall, is a designated place for prayer that is considered to be the holiest site in Judaism.
The limestone structure, located in Jerusalem, is the only remaining portion of the Second Jewish Temple which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. during the first Jewish-Roman War.
The wall was erected in 19 B.C. by King Herod who built it to support the Temple Mount — a hill that is sacred in Judaism — but it is also a significant religious site for Christians and Muslims.
It has also been a disputed site between the Jewish and Muslim communities since the early 20th century. Palestinians believe the ‘wall’ is only the 191-foot structure that faces the Jewish prayer site.
However, Israelis argue it includes the entire retaining wall of the Temple Mount, which stretches 1,591 feet.
Jewish people are known to exclusively use the term ‘Western Wall’ in reference to the holy site, while Christians and Muslims also refer to it as the ‘Wailing Wall.’
The ‘Wailing-place’ was a translation of El-Mabka, or ‘the Place of Weeping,’ the traditional Arabic term. The term has since become derogatory to Jews after it was introduced by the British after they took control of Jerusalem from the Ottoman Empire in 1917.
The name refers to the practice of Jewish people weeping at the site over the destruction of the Temples.
‘Other individuals were responsible for those tasks,’ they added.
Ivanka and Jared were also both issued subpoenas last month by the special counsel investigating Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election and his role in the January 6 Capitol riots.
The former first daughter was in the White House during the Capitol riot and urged her father to address his supporters. She was also in the Oval Office when the then-president asked Pence to block or delay the congressional vote to certify the election.
Jared flew home from the Middle East as Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, and he also tried to get his father-in-law to tell them to go home.
Both were featured prominently in hearings by the House January 6 Committee after providing videotaped testimony.
Trump’s oldest daughter made headlines with her comments backing former Attorney General Bill Barr’s insistence there was no widespread fraud in the election.
Ivanka and Jared have spent the past two years living at Arte Surfside, a luxury condominium building nestled between Miami Beach and Bal Harbour.
They are close to finishing the renovations on their $24 million waterfront mansion on Indian Creek, an exclusive island known as the ‘Billionaire Bunker.’
The couple bought the fixer-upper a little over a year after they dropped $31.8 million on a two-acre plot of land on the island in 2020. They plan on moving into the spatial 8,500-square-foot abode with their children once it is finally completed.
Ivanka and Jared’s current rental at Arte Surfside is set to hit the market for $18.8 million sometime this year.
