Love Island 2022 stars who have grown close after the show including Summer and Josh

Love Island has finished for another year with Ekin-Su CülcüloğluandDavide Sanclimenti being crowned the winners of the 2022 series.

This year's series was filled with drama and romance and that was mainly thanks to the huge number of bombshells who entered the villa.

Throughout the past eight weeks many sexy singletons headed into the Love Island villa unannounced in a bid to shake things up and they definitely succeeded in doing so.

Outside of the villa this year's Islanders appear to have all become close pals too, even those who didn't appear on the show at the same time, and some look to have even formed romantic connections with fellow bombshells.

Let's take a look at some of the 2022 contestants who've grown close after leaving the island…

Summer Botwe & Josh Le Grove

Summer Botwe and Josh Le Grove both entered the Love Island villa as Casa Amor bombshells, so they didn't cross paths until the two villas united for the dramatic recoupling ceremony.

Both Summer, 22, and Josh, also 22, both made it into the main villa however, with Dami Hope choosing to recouple with Summer while Danica Taylor selected Josh.

However, back in the main villa things soon cooled off for both of the newcomers as Dami told Summer he wanted to rekindle his romance with Indiyah Polack and Josh told Danica that he thought they would be better off as friends.

After becoming pals in the villa, Josh and Summer decided that there could be a potential romantic connection between them and they decided to couple up.

Nevertheless, just a couple of days later Josh was dumped from the villa leaving Summer single again. She remained on the show until she and Billy Brown were dumped together at a beach party.

Summer and Josh appear to be continuing to pursue their connection outside of the villa and the recent Love Island wrap party they looked very cosy as they got ready at a hotel together.

The pair both shared a mirror selfie of them together on Instagram and Summer also posted a sweet photo of them both posing together on the app.

Coco Lodge & Jack Keating

Two other Casa Amor bombshells who appear to have formed a close bond are Coco Lodge and Jack Keating, who looked very cosy outside of the Love Island wrap party on Monday 1 August.

Coco, 27, cause a stir when she entered the villa as one of six bombshells looking to turn the boys' heads, and she soon found a connection with Andrew Le Page, with the pair eventually going on to couple up.

However, after all of the Islanders were reunited, Andrew, 27, realised he still wanted to pursue things with Tasha Ghouri, 23, and soon left Coco.

On the other hand, Jack, 23, failed to find a connection in Casa Amor and was dumped from the island at the explosive recoupling ceremony.

However, it looks like Coco and Jack, who didn't get chance to get to know each other on the show, may have grown close away from the villa as they photographed cuddling and holding hands in London during the night out with their fellow Islanders.

Antigoni Buxton & Jacques O'Neill

Jacques O'Neill and Antigoni Buxton grew close in the villa and it appears they've continued their friendship on the outside, with the duo enjoying dinner dates and nights out together over recent weeks.

Former rugby player Jacques, 23, quit Love Island after Paige Thorne found out about his antics in Casa Amor, while Antigoni, 26, was dumped from the villa after failing to find a romantic connection.

The pair look to have grown closer away from the show but have continued to deny any rumours of a romance between them, with Antigoni recently insisting that she and Jacques are "just friends" and she sees him as a "little brother".

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, the 26 year old singer said: "We are absolutely friends, he's literally like my little brother."

As host Ranvir Singh, who was filling in for Lorraine Kelly, put up quotation marks with her fingers and sarcastically mouthed the word "friends", Antigoni said: "No, no, no, not 'friends', like real real friends… like genuinely he's… We go into a restaurant and I'm like cutting his food up, do you know what I mean?

"He's literally like my little brother, I love him to pieces but there's no romance."
