James Bond: All of the actors in the running to replace Daniel Craig as 007

Daniel Craig bid farewell to James Bond in 2021 hit film No Time To Die, and speculation surrounding who could take over the iconic role has been rife ever since.

Daniel, 54, portrayed the secret agent in five films, beginning with Casino Royale in 2006 and ending with the 25th Bond film in 2021. He previously announced that No Time To Die would be his last.

Multiple famous actors have been suggested as the new Bond, with the likes of Idris Elba and Jamie Dornan being linked to the role for a long time.

Most recently, Lucien Laviscount's name has been thrown into the mix, but who is favourite to replace Daniel?

Currently, Avengers and Kick-Ass actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 32, is the favourite to takeover the iconic role, according to FairBettingSites. The actor remains the 2/1 favourite to be the next Bond.

According to Puck News, Aaron has even sat down with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, with sources claiming the meeting went "very well". However, the source added that nothing has been officially confirmed.

The newest addition to the list of potential Bond replacements is Emily in Paris star Lucien, 30, who is now 12/1 to be named the next 007.

Following the release of the third series of the Netflix hit series, Lucien's odds have been slashed by over half from 25/1.

Lucien's height could also work in his favour, as he is 1.78 metres tall – the exact same height as Daniel Craig.

“Lucien ticks all of the boxes,” a source told The Mail On Sunday. “He is a super talented actor, is extremely handsome and in the past 18 months has won lots of new fans since he joined Emily In Paris.”

The insider added: “Bond bosses are already saying how you can see him in the 007 tuxedo, how dapper and fitting to the role he will look.”

Beating Lucien is Tom Hardy, 45, who is 9/1 to be announced as the next Bond, with Chiwitel Eljofor, 45, following closely behind at 12/1.

However, actors who have long been linked to the role of 007, such as Idris Elba and Jamie Dornan, appear to be unlikely candidates now. Despite rumours constantly circulating that he would one day takeover the role, 50 year old Idris' odds sit at just 16/1.

Meanwhile, 50 Shades of Grey star Jamie, 40, remains at 40/1, even though in 2022 he was tipped to become the next Bond.

At the time, he dismissed speculation that he would be the next actor to play the British spy.

When asked about the rumours at the premiere of Kenneth Branagh's Belfast film, Jamie said: "I don't know anything about that."
