Kate Middleton and Prince Williams parenting rules for royal kids including Friday dress code

The Prince and Princess of Wales always make sure their three children look smart, but when at home the Royal couple like to let their brood be more relaxed.

Kate, 40, and Prince William, also 40, like to try and keep the lives of Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, and four year old Prince Louis as normal as they can be, and are cautious not to let their home become 'stuffy'.

According to reports, William has given Royal staff a strict order to dress casually when they are around his and Kate's three children, as he doesn't want home life to become too formal for George, Charlotte and Louis.

The dad-of-three has even allegedly banned suits in his family home in order to keep things as normal as possible.

William's strict rules came about after he first introduced a casual dress code on Fridays, which eventually became the norm everyday in his household.

His home orders were first uncovered in Valentine Low's book, Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown.

In the book, Valentine delves into what it's really like in the Royal residences, thanks to inside knowledge from the Courtiers who work there.

Sharing the details one of the members of the Royal household provided, the author wrote: "The kids run around the office, and William does not want it to be stuffy.”

The insider also said that William had stressed the importance of this as "this is where my family lives."

However, the prince's hopes of a casual dress code all the time can't always be fulfilled, as staff members will have to wear formal clothing if they have important meetings or are heading to Buckingham Palace.

There's a number of other rules Kate and William have reportedly put in place at their family home, including no shouting and do not go to bed angry.

In the Waleses' household, no shouting is allowed at any time and the children are encouraged to have constructive conversations about what's bothering them.
Kate and William are also careful to never send George, Charlotte and Louis mixed signals as parents, and the TV is not allowed to be on during the daytime.
