Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have all had to get used to a new school due to the family’s recent move to Windsor. The three primary school children are currently studying at Lambrook, where nine-year-old Prince George has had to learn a new skill.
During a visit to Wales in September of this year, Kate Middleton met a group of young schoolchildren.
She admired how smart the youngsters looked in their uniforms, and commented on a young boy’s tie, according to Hello!
Kate reportedly asked the child if he had managed to tie the tie himself, to which he responded that he had.
The Princess was full of praise for the practical child, and admitted that the task was something her eldest son was struggling with a little.
Kate said to the boy: “Well done you. I’ve been teaching George because he has got to wear a tie now for school, so I’m having to teach him how to do it.
“But well done, you’ve done a good job with your tie. Nice to meet you.”
Prince George isn’t the only one of Kate’s children who needs some help getting ready for school.
The four-year-old Prince Louis will undoubtedly require lots of assistance at this age, but seven-year-old Princess Charlotte needs help with one key part of the morning – her hair.
During a visit to Cumbria in 2019, Kate commented on a little girl’s braids.
Kate stated: “I love your plaits. They are so pretty. Who’s done those, who’s done your plaits?”
She told the five-year-old girl and her three-year-old sister that they looked “very sweet and lovely”.
She then revealed something that many parents will be able to relate to.
She admitted that as part of that morning’s school run she had “tried to do a plait with Charlotte”.
However, despite her efforts, Kate confessed that “it didn’t really work very well”.
Kate and William have their work cut out for them with three small children under the age of 10.
This is in addition to the many responsibilities they have undertaken in their royal roles.
Getting kids ready for school is no easy journey for any parent, and Prince William was very honest about an argument his children have on the way to the school.
He told Apple podcast Time to Walk: “Most mornings there’s a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning.
“And I have to now basically prioritise that one day someone does this one and another day, it’s someone else’s turn.
“So George gets his go, that Charlotte gets her go. Such is the clamour for the music.”
Despite the recurrent squabble, the future King admitted that there is one artist his kiddies can agree on, Waka Waka singer Shakira.
