The “Idol” star praised Johnny Depp’s highly regarded performance in his new movie “Jeanne du Barry” at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

“I’m super happy for him. I’m super excited,” Lily-Rose told “Entertainment Tonight” Tuesday.

“And it’s so awesome that we get to do projects that we’re super proud of.”

The actress, 23, and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star, 59, both have been the talk of the town at the French fest this month.

Johnny received a seven-minute standing ovation for the historical drama when it premiered on May 16.

Cannes marked the first time the actor has promoted a film since winning his high-profile defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard in June 2022. He said during the festival that despite some critics talking about his professional “comeback,” he “didn’t go anywhere.”

In “Jeanne du Barry,” Johnny portrays King Louis XV and stars alongside Benjamin Lavernhe and Maïwenn, who is also the project’s director.

Movie buffs welcomed the “Edward Scissorhands” star with open arms, but social media users trolled his rotting teeth as he smiled for cameras on the red carpet ahead of the premiere.

Page Six exclusively reported Tuesday that Johnny had to be “cleaned up” for the appearance.

Lily-Rose, for her part, received a five-minute standing ovation of her own Monday when her and The Weeknd’s controversial HBO series, “The Idol,” debuted.

However, not all viewers were as pleased with the “King” star’s raunchy performance, with many criticizing her for showing too much skin in the drama co-created by “Euphoria” writer Sam Levinson.

“Rarely does a scene go by without the camera showing flashes of her breasts or ass,” the Hollywood Reporter wrote in a scathing review.

Another critic called the second episode of the show “straight-up pornographic” and claimed Levinson, who has a history of on-set issues, was exploiting Lily-Rose.

Still, the scion praised her show and shared how exciting it was to watch it with an audience for the first time.

“It was incredible,” she said in the “ET” interview. “It felt like such a beautiful celebration and a culmination of everything that we’ve been through together, and just kind of a beautiful process that was in the show, and creating this little family together, and it just felt really, really nice.”

Lily-Rose added that she and her castmates were “so happy” with the response they got at the premiere.

“It felt really nice to watch the reaction and everything, and finally get to share something with the world that we’re all so proud of,” she said.

While the father-daughter duo both had projects premiere at the star-studded festival, they have yet to appear at an event together.

Johnny shares Lily-Rose with his ex-partner Vanessa Paradis. He and the former model, 50, also share 21-year-old son Jack.

“The Idol” premieres June 4 at 9 p.m. EST on HBO.
