The model, 57, previously said that her face had been left ‘brutally disfigured’ resulting in her looking ‘unrecognizable’ after she suffered from a rare reaction to a fat freezing procedure known as CoolSculpting.

Evangelista spent the last six years ‘in hiding’ – but now, she has given fans a fresh glimpse of herself in a brand new video posted to Vogue’s YouTube account on Thursday, in which she revealed the contents of her purse.

Her 1985 Hermès Birkin bag, which she said was gifted to her, was filled with things like a face mask, wipes, a pen, and hand sanitizer – because she said she’s a ‘germaphobe’ – as well as beauty products like Pat McGrath lipstick, Chanel hand cream, and Guerlain perfume.

The catwalk queen recalled falling in love with the purse after discovering it at the Hermès store, and said it was sitting on the ‘top, top shelf’ with ‘dust’ all over it.

As she began removing things from the handbag, she revealed a pair of glasses, sea sickness bands, a vegan shake, two decks of Italian cards, an emergency pill pack, and her iPhone – which she said she uses to ‘dabble in social media’ and ‘track her child.’

She has one daughter, Augustin James Evangelista, whom she welcomed in 2006 with French businessman François-Henri Pinault.

‘You know how neurotic I am, I’m prepared for everything,’ she joked as she discussed the stuff she keeps in her bag.

‘I’m prepared for dooms day at home. When I’m out and about, people laugh at me with everything that I carry. But if you need something, I have it in here. Anything that may arise, I got you covered.’

In a small separate makeup bag, she had various Pat McGrath products such as lipstick, blush, and lip pencils, as well as numerous different nail polishes.

A little Hermes pochette contained some more things like bobby pins, a handheld mirror (which she said she had for 30 years), AirPods, a comb, a Mason Pearson brush, and her keys.

The keys sat on a Tiffany chain, she she said she got right after her daughter was born and is now ‘falling apart.’

Elsewhere in the purse was a bottle of Erasa moisturizer, which she described as ‘her everything,’ and a tiny Comme des Garcons wallet; she kept the contents of the wallet a secret, adding, ‘You can only imagine what’s inside.’

She also carried a gray bucket hat, which she said she has ‘in every color’ since she suffers from a condition called melasma, which makes it very important for to keep her skin shielded from the sun.

‘I have melasma, so I won’t go in direct sunlight,’ she explained. ‘So I have my hat with me at all times. I’m very, very big on sun safety, even in the winter.’

Melasma can cause dark, discolored patches on your skin, and is usually caused by  hormonal changes or sun exposure.

The surgery was designed to decrease fat cells, but instead, it resulted in her developing ‘bulges’ all over her body. She is seen left for British Vogue’s September issue and right in June

Linda (seen in 1991) has since undergone two liposuction surgeries in an attempt to fix the problem, and announced back in February that she was done living in ‘shame’

Now, she recently returned to modeling – and she looked flawless on the cover of British Vogue’s September issue, which is seen above

The surgery was designed to decrease her fat cells, but instead, it made them become enlarged – resulting in her developing ‘bulges’ all over her body, due to a condition called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia.

While discussing the shoot in a behind-the-scenes video, she admitted that her jaw and neck don’t look like that ‘in real life’ and that makeup artist Pat McGrath had to use tape and elastics to pull her features back, which she covered with scarves and hats

PAH is a rare adverse effect of cryolipolysis, which has been reported in of 0.0051 per cent of the 1.5 million CoolSculpting procedures performed worldwide.

Now, she recently returned to modeling – and she looked flawless on the cover of British Vogue’s September issue.

However, while discussing the shoot in a behind-the-scenes video, she admitted that her jaw and neck don’t look like that ‘in real life’ and that makeup artist Pat McGrath had to use tape and elastics to pull her features back, which she covered with scarves and hats.

She explained that she is still ‘trying to love herself’ after becoming ‘so depressed’ following the faulty procedure, and that using the tape ‘took care of’ her ‘insecurities’ so that she could feel confident while ‘doing what she loves to do’ again.

She explained: ‘That’s not my jaw and neck in real life – and I can’t walk around with tape and elastics everywhere. I’m trying to love myself as I am.

‘But for the photos… Look, for photos I always think we’re here to create fantasies. We’re creating dreams. I think it’s allowed. All my insecurities are taken care of in these pictures, so I got to do what I love to do.’

WHAT IS PARADOXICAL ADIPOSE HYPERPLASIA (PAH)?

Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia is a rare, previously unreported adverse effect of cryolipolysis.

Cryolipolysis uses cooling to damage and destroy subcutaneous fat cells, without damaging the skin to reduce the amount of fat in the treated area.

This phenomenon of PAH has a reported rate of incidence of 0.0051% of the 1.5 million CoolSculpting procedures performed worldwide. Many physicians see numerous cases in their offices.

PAH causes a gradual enlargement of the treated area. It occurs when the stimulus (the freezing of fat cells) activates a reactionary process in the fatty tissue that thickens and expands the fat cells rather than breaking them down and allowing the body to process and remove them.

PAH is only known to occur following a cryolipolysis, or CoolSculpting body contouring treatment.

PAH typically cannot be confirmed until about 6 months post-procedure, with patients complaining that they are getting bigger in the exact shape of the applicator, as depicted below.
