Lionel Richie girlfriend: Inside iconic singers romance with 33-year-old Lisa Parigi
Lionel Richie is one of the superstars performing at this weekend’s big Coronation concert in celebration of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The star will be performing all of his major hits as he entertains millions of viewers both in the crowd and those watching at home.
By his side for the whole event will be the 73 year old’s long term girlfriend, Lisa Parigi, a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur.
Lisa, who is 40 years Lionel’s junior, has been with the award winning musician for almost 10 years, and has accompanied the star to many of his big life moments.
So, as the pair gear up for a weekend of royal celebrations, let’s take a look inside the couple’s sweet relationship…
How did they meet?
Lisa, who was born and raised in Switzerland, actually shared the wholesome story of how the two met with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. While still living in the European country, she was invited to a dinner party during an LA trip, where Lionel was in attendance.
The pair were introduced by a mutual friend and instantly hit it off. Lisa shared details from that first conversation, revealing that it felt natural and organic.
"We had great conversations, we spoke all night long about everything," she said, probably with no pun intended.
"It's been beautiful so far."
Lionel and Lisa share a dog
The loved up couple are proud dog parents to a pooch called Sylvester. He even has his own Instagram account where the two share the cutest snaps and videos of the pup.
Sylvester also appears regularly on Lisa’s own grid, with the dog even declaring himself as “the boss of the house.”
Lisa’s favourite song is Stuck On You
When speaking to Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Lisa revealed how she is her beau’s biggest cheerleader, and is always front row at all of his converts. During the chat, she was asked if she has a favourite song of Lionel’s, to which she revealed was the singer’s 1983 hit, Stuck On You.
"Although I go to literally almost every show, each time, it feels like I'm hearing it for the first time, so it captivates me, and it feels special," Lisa said.
Lisa is there for all of Lionel’s big life moments
No matter how big or how small, Lisa is always present for her Grammy-award winning boyfriend’s major moments and vice versa.
Speaking to People magazine back in 2019, Lionel gushed: “At this time in my life when you can be so jaded about things, Lisa kind of makes everything feel a bit safe."
Back in 2017, the dedicated partner accompanied Lionel to Washington D.C along with his kids to receive his Kennedy Center Honor. Then, in 2019, the couple went to the Vatican to meet the Pope.
She even took to the gram to document the moment, and revealed how special it was to be able to share it with Lionel.
"So grateful I could share this magical moment with my love @lionelrichie."
She’s close with all of Lionel’s kids
Lionel has three children – Nicole, who he adopted with his first wife, college sweetheart, Brenda Harvey in 1983, and Miles, 28, and Sofia, 24, who he welcomed with his second wife, Diane Alexander.
It just takes a flick through Lisa’s gram to see how close she is with Lionel’s children, especially his youngest daughter, Sofia.
From sharing sweet photos to celebrate the 24 year old’s birthday to posting videos and snaps at Sofia’s recent wedding, the two look very comfortable in each other’s company.
Lisa also shared pics of her spending time with the family back in 2021, as they celebrated Lionel’s birthday. All three kids can be seen in the shot, plus Nicole’s husband, Joel Madden, the lead singer of the rock band, Good Charlotte.
