Love Island’s Indiyah switches up her trademark pony for extra-long and sleek style

Our favourite post-Love Island activity is watching the contestants head back into the real world where they’re free to visit hair salons and beauty clinics whenever they fancy. Often we see finalists desperate to get a new look after spending months without access to their usual treatments, and Indiyah Polack seems to be no exception to this rule.

The former hotel waitress, 23, has just switched up her hairstyle from her signature 60s-style high ponytail with flicked-out ends for something much longer. Sharing the look with her Instagram followers, Indiyah is pictured in the clip with ultra-lengthy sleek hair.

“Freshly washed and blowdried,” she captions the Story, tagging in her hairstylist @mulanshair.

Though Indiyah has blonde streaks down both sides of her hair, her current style featuring a deep side part means that we can only see the platinum on one side. She also accentuates the contrasting black and platinum theme of her hair with a black crop top and some white hoop earrings. Very fashionable.

Indiyah sparked a huge hair trend back in June when she entered the villa. Two-tone hair was already popular thanks to Miley Cyrus, but her take on the look was very modern indeed. What’s unique about Indiyah’s colour is that the blonde isn’t located on the fringe sections of her hair. Instead, she’s bleached two thick streaks on both sides of her hair.

Originally popular around 2010, this colour trend is also commonly referred to as the “peek-a-boo” style, where a light hair colour contrasts with a dark hair colour. Most commonly, bleach blonde is paired with dark brunette or black hair, giving quite a dramatic effect.

Going by her Instagram grid posts, Indiyah has stuck with this two-tone look for quite some time now so we’re thinking it might be a signature look for the star.

In other Love Island hair transformations from the week, Millie Court just chopped off her hair extension-heavy tresses for an above-the-shoulder bob. Since the 2021 winner recently split from her former villa beau Liam Reardon, we wonder if this new look spells an exciting chapter for Millie.
