Major high street brand launches massive closing down discounts as shops set to close for good | The Sun

A MAJOR high street retailer has launched a massive closing down sale as it plans to shut up shop.

Paperchase has upped its discount to 50% off after falling into administration.

The stationer is selling a selected number of products for half price as it prepares to close over 100 branches.

Shoppers can also grab the half price goods online before the Paperchase website closes down on February 17.

The online sale will continue until midnight on Friday with 50% off.

Paperchase fell into administration with all 106 stores shutting.

Shoppers rush to buy Paperchase bargains before it ‘disappears from high street’

Tesco stepped in buying the rights to the brand and it plans to sell Paperchase items in stores.

But the shops will disappear from high streets across the country, with an exact date for closures yet to be announced.

A closing down sale initially started with 20% off before being hiked to 30% this week.

But now shoppers can bag even bigger bargains with up top 50% off.

You can find your nearest Paperchase using the store locator on its website or you can order home directly.

However, do take into account delivery costs if you do that.

The minimum charge is an extra £3.95, but you can get free delivery if you spend £40 or more.

Here are a few half-price steals we found by searching on the website:

  • 5m Floral Unicorn Friends Wrapping Paper – £1.65, was £5.50
  • A5 Dalmatian Spot Desk Pad – £2.50, was £5
  • Purple Marble A4 Lever Arch Folder – £3.50, was £7
  • Kraft Large Gift Box (black) – £3.25, was £6.50
  • Four Mr Men and Little Miss Snack Boxes – £5, was £10
  • 10 sheets of Folk Art Tissue Paper with Stickers – £2.50, was £5

Since stores are closing, all stock will be subject to availability.

It's worth checking ahead if there's something specific you're looking for.

Tuesday (February 14) was the final day that customers could use their Paperchase vouchers before they expired.

Any rewards left on loyalty cards also expired at midnight.

In-store shoppers will no longer be able to get a refund – but you may be offered an exchange.

You can still shop around other chains in case Paperchase doesn't have what you're after, and you might uncover even better deals anyway.

For example, The Works currently has a clearance sale running as well as 10 kids picture books for £10 from its website.

After a quick scan, we spotted an A5 Casebound Don’t Forget diary on sale for £1 instead of £3, but always factor in delivery costs if you're getting things sent home.

Elsewhere, Dunelm is also hosting a huge 50% off sale.

Shoppers can bag loads of warm essentials like blankets and jumpers for a fraction of the price.
