Man covered in tattoos recreates same photo 7 years on – showing transformation

A man who has spent a whopping £40,000 getting his entire body tattooed in just four years has recreated the same photo taken before his ink-credible journey began.

The first snap was recorded in 2015 and shows Tristan Weigelt standing in front of a sink with his top off.

But he has now constructed the same pose – but this time his face, chest and arms are covered in body art.

The tattoo artist, who is from America but is based in Copenhagen, wrote on Instagram: “Can’t believe I actually went back to one of my childhood friends' moms bathroom to remake this picture as closely as possible. Now that’s what I call dedication.”

The 25-year-old added: “First picture was taken approximately one year before I got my first tattoo. (Which was my whole left arm). I didn't have any plans of getting my whole body tattooed at that time. Just a sleeve or two. So one thing took another. I had also promised myself not to get any visible tattoos. But oh well. Sometimes life just grabs you.

“Second picture is after about 270 hours of work. I’ve spent like 45,000 Euros on tattoos, which is pretty cheap considering the amount of coverage I have.”

And as for the future, he concluded: “Plans going forward are mainly fitness and career related since I don't really have room for more tattoos. Who knows I might have my palms done some day.”

Responding to the post, one fan wrote: “I’m jealous.”

Another user added: “Tattoo on face… why bro?”

A third said: “Dedication is the greatest thing in life.”

Earlier this year Tristan gave an exclusive interview with the Daily Star about his wild transformation.

He said “a lot of people stare” in the street while his pals joke that it’s like walking around with a celebrity when they are out together.

But Tristan added: “It's kind of weird looking at myself without all the tattoos.

“But funnily enough I still feel exactly the same as before on the inside.”

Despite being the same person, his loved ones were not totally impressed with his extreme alterations.

“My parents hate it,” he simply replied when asked about it.

He has a dragon inked to his back and his orange tattoo suit was inspired by Japanese traditions.

And as for his message to others considering a similar path, he said: “To anyone out there considering a tattoo, get the tattoo you like.

“Get what you love and what makes sense to you. I see so many people worried about a certain tattoo fitting them or it not being their style. If you like it – then get it…

“Nobody would’ve told me my tattoos would have fit me if I asked somebody five years ago.

“But now, nobody can imagine me without them.”
