Maren Morris wants Candace Cameron Bure to return to her roots.

The country singer, who has been an vocal ally for the LGBTQIA+ community, hit back at the actress following her controversial comments about “traditional marriage.”

“Make DJ [Tanner] gay again,” Morris, 32, wrote in an Instagram comment Tuesday, referring to Bure’s character from “Full House.”

The comment appeared under a post shared by social media personality Matt Bernstein that slammed Cameron Bure, 46, and her decision to move to the Great American Family network from Hallmark Channel because it wouldn’t feature same-sex couples at its forefront.

“You went decades without ever having to see an LGBTQ character on screen. Now, we’re in 1 out of 5 movies,” the first slide of Bernstein’s post read. “Sorry if this disturbs you. Sending thoughts and prayers.”

Cameron Bure came under fire for her comments made in the Wall Street Journal, facing heat from Hilarie Burton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, JoJo Siwa and more celebrities.

By mid-week, the “Fuller House” star issued a statement that not only defended her remarks but also slammed those who “hate” her “values.”

“All of you who know me, know beyond question that I have great love and affection for all people. It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone,” she told Page Six in a lengthy statement via her rep on Wednesday.
