Martin Lewis’ MSE reveals supermarket selling bargain air fryer – and it’s the cheapest you’ll find | The Sun

MARTIN Lewis' MoneySavingExpert has shared which supermarket is selling an air fryer at a bargain price.

In the most recent MonseySavingExpert (MSE) newsletter, the team revealed shoppers can bag a Tower air fryer for just £35 from Iceland.

The countertop gizmo was £59.99 but it's now been slashed in price, saving shoppers £25 off their total bill.

But if you order online, you should also take into account that an extra delivery charge may be added to your bill.

The offer will be available in store and online from Saturday, October 8 – you can find your nearest branch using this handy locator tool.

But MSE has warned shoppers to be quick as it predicts the air fryer will be popular and is therefore likely sell out quickly.

The only difference is the nifty kitchenware has a price tag of £56 slapped on the box.

We also found the air fryer on sale at B&M for a reduced price of £49.99 – but Iceland's deal is still the cheapest.

You can also use price comparison tools like Google Shopping to find similar products from other retailers and compare prices and you may find a better deal.

You could also try looking at different models, for example we found a Logik air fryer on sale at Curry's for £39.99 – just £4.99 more than Iceland's offer.

Independent retailers near you may also have better offers, or you could checkout shop clearances to see what they have on offer.

Budget supermarkets Aldi and Lidl are also known for selling their own versions of popular products.

For example, Aldi's £30 air fryer flew off their shelves in August.

How does an air fryer work?

When you use an air fryer, the food goes in a tray or basket and then the machine gets to work.

A heating element provides the heat needed while a fan distributes this around the food, helping it cook quickly and evenly.

Between the heat and the drying effect of the fan, the food will become crispy – and plenty of people consider it to be a much more healthy way to prepare dinner.

How much does it cost to use an air fryer?

With rising energy bills stacking up at the front door, plenty of customers might be hesitant to add yet another kitchen gadget to their armory of gas guzzling appliances.

The good news, is a new air fryer could be cheaper than whacking on your oven.

So splashing out on the budget buy could help reduce your electricity bills over time.

But exactly how much it costs to run won't be the same for everyone,.

What you pay for electricity will depend on your tariff and also how large and efficient your appliance is.
