McDonald's to axe three popular menu items tomorrow – is your favourite disappearing? | The Sun

MCDONALD'S fans better hurry along to the chain if they want one last taste of several popular menu items.

That's because the burger giant is axing three items from its menu tomorrow.

As part of a menu shake-up, McDonald's is axing the Big Tasty, halloumi fries and Wispa McFlurry.

Each of the items had joined McDonald's menu for a limited run last month.

But their time has now come to an end, and tomorrow will be the last chance for fans to get them.

Cheese fans were delighted to know that the much loved halloumi fries were returning for the second year in a row.

But it's not all bad news, as a number of new items will also be added to menus on Wednesday.

The new items include a Caesar and bacon wrap which comes with crispy lettuce and bacon drizzled with a creamy dressing. It'll cost customers £5.19.

The second new item landing on menus is the mozzarella bites which will come with a tangy tomato dip.

They'll cost £2.29 for one portion to £6.29 as a sharebox.

For the sweet additions, McDonald's has launched a double chocolate pie which is made up of a chocolate crust and stuffed with chocolate sauce. The double chocolate pie will cost £1.19.

And the fourth new item landing on menus is the Biscoff McFlurry which The Sun got to try before everyone else.

A small Biscoff McFlurry will cost you £1.49 while a large one will cost you £1.99.

On top of that, Maccies fans will also be able to get their hands on the double Big Mac burger which is making a comeback, alongside the spicy sriracha wrap.

The Sun revealed in February that it was trialling a savers menu at around 120 restaurants across the South East from February and May, but it's this week rolling out nationwide.

At the time, the fast-food chain couldn't confirm exactly how much customers would save with the deals.

They hit menus in May as part of the 40th-anniversary celebrations for McNuggets and were only ever going to be around for a short time.

How can I save on my McDonald's order?

There are plenty of ways you can save on your next trip to McDonald's.

But always keep in mind menu prices can vary across different restaurants – so perhaps check prices online first to avoid getting a surprise.

You can get freebies on your birthday if you've got the My McDonald's app – it's free to download and you'll only need a few quick details to get set up.

Remember to log your date of birth on the app though, otherwise you'll miss out.

You can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.

All you'll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.

How do I find my nearest McDonald's?

If you're planning on taking a trip to McDonald's, you'll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald's serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.
