Millie Gibson takes inspiration from ’90s icon Pamela Anderson for stunning NTAs look

Former Coronation Street star Millie Gibson looked very different to her on-screen character Kelly Neelan as she made her way to the National Television Awards this evening.

The 18 year old, who recently bid an emotional yet dramatic goodbye to the cobbles, radiated old school Hollywood glamour as she opted for a look inspired by ‘90s icon Pamela Anderson while on the red carpet.

For the occasion, the actress looked timeless as she wore a classic black floor-length dress and coordinated the look with emerald coloured jewellery.

In keeping with Pamela Anderson’s iconic look, the stunning dress featured a corset detailing and the slinky silhouette clung to Millie’s figure.

Rounding off the look, Millie paired her black dress with a matching clutch bag, though introduced some colour to the outfit thanks to an emerald ring, bangles and necklace.

The soap star also gave a nod to Pamela in her make up as she opted for a dramatic black cat eye look, captioning the post “pammy moment? @officialntas”.

Earlier today, Millie gave fans a glimpse of her highly-anticipated NTAs look as she took to her Instagram Stories to share a snap of her voluminous updo.

As she posed for a mirror selfie while wearing a plush white bathrobe, the star explained that she was in the process of “making my Pammy dreams come true” as she led those getting ready for the awards ceremony.

Having played Kelly Neelan on the cobbles since 2019, Millie stepped back from the role last month following a dramatic departure.

After establishing a series of close friendships with her co-stars,Millie admitted that she has been a “wreck” since leaving the soap as she begins to prepare for her next chapter.

“I've been a wreck. If you ask anyone, there were a good two weeks where I was just crying constantly just because I think I was just so overwhelmed, and so grateful of the scenes and the storyline that had been given to me but there's a specific scene that sticks out to me,” she told the press.

“Basically throughout Kelly and Gary's relationship we've never hugged, and we've always spoken like, 'why have you never hugged me?'. But there was a scene where Gary hugs Kelly, it's a really simple scene.

“And as soon as we did it, and we shot it, I just burst out crying, I'm getting choked up now. It was just like, God, it's the beginning of the end. I think when we started filming our last scenes of being nice to each other, that's when we were like this is getting real now but yeah, it's been an emotional journey.”
