A former Miss England beauty queen has turned her efforts to supporting the national team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar .

Dr Bhasha Mukherjee, 27, is a doctor, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss England 2019 and represented England at the Miss World 2019 pageant.

The brunette beauty continued her career as a doctor amid the coronavirus pandemic, putting her charity work on hold to help out at the hospital she used to work at.

And recently, she’s also become a keen football fan.

Bhasha exclusively told the Daily Star: “Funnily enough, I only started watching and following footy as of last year for the Euros. Otherwise, I'm more of a Netflix horror show type of girl.

“But it was definitely a moment of cultural history made with England being in the finals of the Euros last year and enjoying that with family.”

Not only is Bhasha a supporter of the game but she’s also got her eye on the players themselves.

“They're all a bunch of hotties not going to lie but I’ve got a soft spot for Harry Kane,” she shared.

“I'm not going to try and sound like a pro in footy and comment on the technical skills of his but he's got this brooding look about him.”

She added: “He looks like he means business.”

While Bhasha doesn’t know how well the team is going to play this year, she has high hopes.

At the end of the day, she’ll continue to support them no matter where they place.

“I'm positive they will be trying their best whatever the outcome,” she said.

“We played ever so well at the Euros last year so there's every chance for a win this year.

“I’m going to keep my fingers and toes all crossed for the team this year!”

Not only is Bhasha a doctor, a former Miss England winner and a football fan but she also holds two medical degrees and speaks five languages.

And this isn’t the first time she’s made headlines, as back in March 2020 she hung up her crown to return to work as a doctor on the coronavirus front lines.

The then 24-year-old had been in India for four weeks on behalf of Coventry Mercia Lions Club, a development and community charity for which she was an ambassador.

But as the coronavirus situation worsened back home in the UK, Bhasha was getting messages from former colleagues telling her how hard the situation was for them.

She decided to contact the hospital’s management team to let them know that she was able to return to work.

There is no doubt that Bhasha is a woman of many talents.
