Mother-of-22 Sue Radford has been left fearing for her family’s half-term getaway, after their motorhome broke down.

The mother of Britain’s biggest family, 48, shared her vehicle problems with her 516,000 Instagram followers earlier this week.

In an Instagram Story about the situation, Sue, who lives with her husband Noel and their brood in Morecambe, Lancashire, explained how the motorhome ‘went into limp mode’ when they were recently driving back from Edinburgh.

The social media star, who is best known for appearing on the Channel 5 series 22 Kids and Counting, didn’t go into more detail about what was wrong with the vehicle, simply insisting that this ‘shouldn’t happen’.

She concluded: ‘So looks like we won’t be going away this coming week as Fiat can’t even get it on until June 15….One thing after another…’

Sue and her husband of 30 years Noel, 52, purchased the luxury Fiat motorhome in May 2022.

Since purchasing the vehicle, the family have shared details of their trips online, prompting some fans to question how they finance their various holidays and other luxuries.

While the Radford family once had to tackle their weekly shop with military precision in order to stick to a strict £250 budget, recent speculation has seen fans notice that they are enjoying a considerably more lavish lifestyle.

This incudes their motorhome, hot tub installation and swanky designer clothes, their motorhome trips, and foreign holidays including four trips to Disney Parks in a year.

Last April, the Radfords flew to Disney World, Orlando, before then visiting the park in Florida five months later September, then going to Disneyland Paris in December.

Then again, last month, the mother of Britain’s biggest family treated her family to a fourth Disneyland trip in less than 12 months.

Meanwhile, Sue and the clan reportedly have another vacation in the works and are set to jet off yet again, with the reality asking followers for holiday tips, writing: ‘Anyone been to Miami? Looking for things to do.’

When someone responded that it’s ‘not great’ for children, Sue explained that the family will be in a large villa away ‘from the city centre’.

Sue’s other holidays over the last year – which are believed to add up to a staggering 11 – include a New York shopping trip as well as a sun soaked excursion to the Maldives.

When they aren’t jet setting, the family often take themselves on less far flung trips, enjoying time away in the British countryside in their motorhome.

Videos and photos from their breaks show the family enjoying movie evenings together in the motorhome as they dine on takeaways.

In a recent trip, Sue and Noel took eight of their 22 children on a three hour road trip to the outskirts of Edinburgh.

The family were accused by some of ‘freeloading’ after they parked their motorhome in an undisclosed spot, instead of paying for a campsite – though the family said they used an app to ensure they were allowed to park in the spot.

As a result of these regular trips, followers often question Sue and Noel on their finances, and how they pay for their treats – leading Sue to say she is ‘bored’ of fielding questions about their finances during a recent Instagram Q&A.

Sue’s husband Noel runs his own pie shop, and as well as receiving some government benefits for their children, the couple are believed to make money from social media posts as well as their TV show on Channel 5.

It is understood that the Radfords pay for their luxuries, including spending thousands on gifts at Christmas, through a combination of their TV show and pie shop, paid Instagram posts, YouTube adverts, TRF21 Limited – a business of which Sue and Noel are both directors – and government grants.

The Radfords caught the public’s attention as Britain’s biggest family in 2012 on a Channel 4 documentary 15 Kids and Counting, which followed their lives at home, getting through mountains of washing and food shopping.
